Is it safe to visit Istanbul for 8 and a half hours

There has been several terrorist attacks in Istanbul and in tourist areas where Israelis have died..

but I'd be meeting a local who I met studying abroad in AU and she would show me around. I'd get in at 4:30PM and leave at 1AM but im a bit worried about immigration. Would you spend a day?

Or i could fly from atlanta to seoul on korean air direct...

but i want to go to istanbul but u do need a visa too

i'd be going on turkish airways which is just starting to fly from ATL to instanbul

im moving to korea to teach english for 1 yr

That's the airline I use the most, it does have delays sometimes tho, and the airport isn't that close to the city centre so you'll have to take that into account coreyants

MTman the school is buying me the ticket and im going to meet my old friend who is there and to have dinner. i dont have much flexibility bc im not paying for it
