I wish as Americans we would be required to take a foreign language as a young child. Younger kids pick up foreign languages easier than adults. I've taken French since sophomore year of high school and took French in college and I can barely speak it. I write a bit more, but I've always had trouble with the pronunciation. It's so hard to pick up a language as an adult. I'm living in S. Korea right now and it legit took me a month just to say an-nyeong-ha-se-yo which is HELLO in Korean..that's legit all I can say! Seriously I have a friend who's lived here since 2001, has a 10 year old Korean daughter, and doesn't speak much Korean at all. I don't know how people do it honestly...
