Say you're getting checked out at a store, have 3 items and have all 3 ready for the cashier to scan. However, she only scans two of the items, meaning you didn't pay for the 3rd one. So would you:
A. Let it go, it wasn't your fault
B. Go back to the store, tell them what happened and that you want to pay for the item
if i was out of the store already, chances are i'd just walk on (though i may feel slightly guilty for ater)... but if i were still at the counteR or in the store i'd point out the mistake.
i find myself asking counterfolk if they 'got this' or 'rang this one' cause i know that cashering can be a thankless job and can catch alot of flack (moreso in holiday seasons), and was once a cacher myself, so i feel a certain amount of empathy. same goes for wait staff.
Claud It was the day after that I caught it. Being that this was a work related thing, I decided to go back and actually pay for it. The person was really nice when I said what happened. This was a $60 item.
I've had some good waitresses and not so good ones. The last time I took the guys I support out to eat, I had a FANTASTIC waitress. She was so good and patient with my guys that I ended up leaving her a $20 tip.
