(Present) Maria, Kaylah and Roxy are cooking a stew, they are trying to keep their minds off of Sierra's death, Dylan stands out over the grave site, he looks at where he buried Sierra's parents, where they put a grave up for her brother Jeff and the one they just put up for her, Paul tells Dylan there was nothing any of them could have done, Dylan asks for him and Doug to continue their sweeps of the perimeter and put up some more wiring, Kimmy can't believe Sierra is dead, one minute she was sitting by her having a laugh and the next she was watching her be covered in dirt, Roxy points out that Kimmy looks upset, Maria tells them that she'll talk to her.
(Flashback) (the day of the outbreak) Maria is playing tennis, she and her family live in the countryside, and have a huge property, a mansion, personal tennis court, swimming pool, Maria is finishing up when her little sister tells her to come in for dinner, she goes to her room to shower and change before heading into the dinning room, she is welcomed and greet by everybody, it is her birthday.
Zakhai is seen fiddling around with a radio, Steven asks him what he is doing and he says he is just trying to pass the time, Maria talks to Kimmy and explains “people are always going to die, whether is was before or after the dead started walking, and those that are left behind have to live on, to remember them, so that even after death they will still live on, Sierra lives for as long as we do” Meanwhile at the Diner, Mark and Katy are playing around with their radio, “you guys ok out there” Jill radio's them, “we are gonna give it until sundown, we will radio again then, this thing is getting low on juice” Mark replies, Katy tells Mark “maybe he and his family are somewhere safe, or they were forced to head away from here” Mark continues looking out, after hearing about Sierra's death he is starting to lose hope for Oscar. Lucas goes to Christian and asks him to talk with Kimmy, Christian agrees to and he prays for both Kimmy and Julie's safety, Kimmy thanks him for the prayer.
(Flashback) Maria and her family all join hands and say grace, they are about to start eating when suddenly they hear the sound of gunfire, Maria immediately grabs her little sister and her father call's out “get to the bomb shelter” they run, they head over the tennis court, he sister tripping over, she picks her up and carries her while running until they reach the shelter, but she cannot remember the code to get in, she frantically looks around before hearing screams and more gunfire coming from the house, she tells her sister “we have to run” and they head into the woods.
(Present) Maria asks Christian how he can still see the humanity in the world, he tells her “without humanity the world would truly be lost”, Roxy is still very affected by Sierra's death and wants something to keep her mind of it, Eric and her decide to meet out in the woods again, Eric says “I’ll be on time this time” Steven heads back to Zakhai with a couple of old mobile phones “found them around camp, thought you could maybe use a few parts for it” Zakhai thanks him, Steven asks again why he is trying to fix it, Zakhai tells him that the radio has a larger bandwidth than the ones they are using, and with it they could maybe try and contact somebody near the coast or even off it, and that maybe they could find somebody with a boat to take them somewhere safer. Mark and Katy sit and watch the sun set, they decide to wait five more minutes, at Mark's request before heading back.
(Flashback) Maria and her sister run back inside, she sees that most of her family have been shot and kill, including her parents, a man in an army suit steps inside and sees them, Maria tells him they need help but he open fires on them, they run out into the street, as they are running her sister is grabbed by a zombie, she fights with it trying to get it off her, when the man shoots and kills both the zombie and Maria's sister, Maria is shot in the arm and is forced to leave her sister dead in the street and run, she gets to the end of the road when she is cut off by an army van, she closes her eyes to think of her last happy memory of all the people she loves around the dinner table, for her birthday, the door opens and a man inside shoots the army guy, it's Paul, he grabs Maria in and tells Doug “drive before they notices we are stealing their van”
Roxy goes out to the same part of the woods to wait for Eric, he tells her he will follow soon so it doesn't look suspicious, Mark and Katy get a faint signal on the radio, they hear somebody say that they are in a small town nearby in a hotel, and that they are surrounded by the dead, Mark and Katy call out to the group at the camp over the radio to tell Dylan what they heard, he looks at Jill and thinks what if they lose another trying to rescue these people but with everybody staring at him he decide to send a group, Maria, Doug and Paul put their hand up to go, he asks Lucas, Zakhai and Eric to go as well, Eric reluctantly is forced into the car without being able to tell Roxy that he is going, he thinks to himself Roxy is gonna be pissed, Roxy stands annoyed by a tree, she hears a noise creeping up on her again and thinks it is Eric again “are you seriously gonna try that aga...” she is cut off as the zombie begins attacking her, her gun is knocked from her hand as she struggles to grab the gun, the zombie has her lying on her stomach she is trying to fend it off her back while at the same time trying to grab the gun, she calls out for help but she is too far out for the group to hear, she manages to grab the gun and shoots the zombie in the head, but she is too late, it took a bite out of her shoulder.

The group go out to rescue the people on the radio, but are they friend or foe? Roxy also keeps the fact that she is bitten a secret, and all the guns in the camp go missing.

Mickiejames22 they were preplanned as a relationship, not all relationships will live forever, my whole series ever death i have made has been random.org so there is no main character/s anybody can die and will die, but there are always more characters in season 2 to sign up as after Roxy's impending doom next episode
Kind of a slow episode that builds up at the end, which is always nice to have a slight break. Roxy be dead, gg girl. The group over the radio is likely actually in trouble, whether they are worth the effort to be saved is yet to be seen. Dylan's making the choice to risk some of the group to potentially make it stronger, and helping people is always good, I think he's doing fine so far.
