Episode 6: Move On (Doug, Paul and Zakhai's story)
(Flash-forward) Julie is seen walking down the highway alone, she has a lot of blood over her and a knife, she looks behind her and begins to cry before looking forward at the diner.
(Flashback) Doug and Paul are sitting around having a beer, they see a zombie so Paul walks over and stabs it in the head, he hops back onto the roof of their car and says “we need a plan, we need to head to the coast, maybe find a boat, and get out of here” Doug tells him that most of the boats will have been taken but anywhere is better than the city, they continue talking when Paul tells Doug to stop the car, he slams the brakes and they stop in front of a body, they get out of the car and Doug asks Paul if they are alive as Paul searches the body, he says he is still alive and there is no bite, Doug ties the guys hands and they put him in the car, it's Zakhai.
(Present) Doug and Paul search for Zakhai, they see where he had killed a few zombies, and which direction he is heading in, they begin to follow it. Mark, Katy, Maria and Eric continue to get to know Mini, Taylor, Zane, Alec and Jake, Eric tells Taylor and Zane about his girlfriend Roxy and that it will be good to have a new couple to talk to, Mini tells them they used to have 30 people but they lost them in a herd, Maria goes to shoot a zombie from the window of the car but Mark tells her the noise might attract more, the zombie watches the car pass by, and begins following it, behind it you can see more and more who have head to the road to follow the sound of the cars, forming a herd. Back at the camp Dylan begins cleaning up the area by the river, Jill approaches him again and explains that it's not safe any more and that they need to move on, he tells Jill if she wants to leave then she can leave but he isn't going anywhere, Sonja tries to talk to him too but Dylan tells her “you don't go on the runs Sonja, you don't leave the camp, it is a lot safer here than it is out there” Dylan looks up and sees the group returning, and looks at Eric, he goes over to tell him what happened to Roxy, Eric collapses.
(Flashback) Doug and Paul search Zakhai a second time to be sure that he isn't bitten, as they do he wakes up and Paul puts a knife to his neck, Zakhai explains he wasn't bitten and that he got lost in the woods and got dehydrated and passed out when he reached the highway, Doug and Paul look at each other and begin to laugh, Doug pulls out a map to show him the whole area has a large number of rivers and streams.
(Present) Doug and Paul continue to follow the trail which leads them to a river, “I guess he finally learnt something from us” Doug laughs, Paul notices more zombies on the ground and a message in the dirt next to them saying “Fremont”, they check their map and find a business complex on the edge of the city, Paul tells Doug that he remembers Zakhai talking about working in a complex like that, they decide to check it out. Sonja goes to Christian who is sitting by the fire, he still hasn't talk since he killed Ron, Sonja thanks him for saving her children and tells him “if god is watching, he'd be proud”, Dylan sees Kimmy standing over the graves, he tells her that everything is gonna be ok, and that she is strong and is gonna do so much in this world to save it. Lucas comes over to her and holds her hand. Jill tells Annie to pack her things and that they are gonna be leaving, Annie tells her they will be fine on their own. Doug and Paul shoot their way inside the building barricading the doors on their way in, they head upstairs and find Zakhai going through his desk.
(Flashback) Doug, Paul and Zakhai continue along the road, Zakhai tells them to look ahead and sees Mark and Katy sitting on the roof of the diner, Mark runs down to greet them hoping for Oscar, they group get to know each other and Mark and Katy tell them about a community that is safe down by the river, Doug tells Paul “he wanted to head to the water” Paul tells them they will join “although keep an eye on Zakhai, he may get lost finding the place” Katy asks them where they are going, Doug and Paul explain they are gonna go look for Oscar for them, they drive along the road until the hears the sound of screams and gunfire, they see Maria running along a road, they get out of their car and steal an army vechile to save her.
(Present) Zakhai explains to them he was forced in this direction and when he realised he was close to his work he had to come and get a photo of his family, but his bad luck got him trapped inside, Paul tells him “Zakhai you don't have some bad luck curse, things happen all the time, if you had bad luck you would have been eaten when you passed out on the road, would have been hit by them while they were driving along the road, Steven never would have thought to climb closer to the roof to get a better signal on the radio, you would have been killed countless times on your way here, luck is what you make it Zakhai” as they are talking they here the zombies break into the building, they run downstairs but the zombies cut them off so they are forced to run upstairs, when they get there, they see a fire escape ladder on the side of the building, Zakhai barricades the door while Paul heads down the ladder but it comes off it's hinges, Doug manages to grab Paul before he falls, but is struggling to help him up, Zakhai comes to help but can see the door is gonna bust open any second, Paul tells Doug “it's ok” Doug tells him not to do it, but Paul pushes his feet on the wall to be pushed back, Doug loses his grip and watches in horror as his brother falls to his death, he beings to cry and call out for him while Zakhai tries to grab Doug from the side of the building, the door brakes off and they run, they get the the ledge of the building and see they can jump to the next one, they make the jump and continue to run. Paul is seen still alive on the ground, his gun out of reach, he can't walk or move, slowly he sees zombies fill the alleyway, he closes his eyes as the zombies begin to bite him, he accepts this is his death and prays for his brother to make it back alive.
Back at the camp Sonja and Kaylah go to see Jill and Annie to beg them not to leave, Jill tells her she can't put up with Dylan any more and that she needs to leave, Sonja tells her “I'll talk to him again, maybe I can....” but she screams in horror as she sees Kaylah being grabbed and torn apart by a zombie, “go to your family and tell everybody to get in the cars” Jill shoots the zombies as they start to pile into the camp, Annie pulls out her knife and stabs Kaylah in the head, Maria, Mark, Katy and Steven see what is happening and join them to shoot them down, Julie is cornered in the camp and is forced to run into the woods, Dylan sees and calls out for her, chasing after his daughter, Sonja grabs Kimmy and asks where Dylan and Julie are but they can't find them, they get into a car with Lucas and Christian and see Eric just sitting and not moving, Kimmy begs him to get in the car, he thinks about Roxy, zombies start to surround him before Kimmy starts shooting the zombies around him telling him once again to get in the car, he follows her and they escape, Jill and Annie's vehicle is surrounded and they are forced to back themselves further into the camp, Maria, Mark and Katy all get into a car and drive out of the camp, Mini, Taylor, Zane, Alec and Jake get into a car but it is stuck in the mud, Zane gets out and begins to push it, he manages to get it out before begin torn apart by a group of zombies, Taylor screams for them to go back but Alec tells her he is gone, Jill and Annie are about to be cornered when Steven runs down the zombies and tells them to get in the car, they do and they escape.
Dylan continues to follow Julie and the zombies, he stabs one above her and she becomes covered in blood, he fights off another too, Julie stands by in horror as her father struggles to fight them, he shoots 3 of them down but loses his gun, he is forced to start stabbing them, keeping Julie behind him at all times, before they all are finally down, he grabs Julie and hugs her tightly, they make their way to an old farm house where he finds a bicycle, he brings cycling back to the highway, he knows where they will all meet, at the diner. Slowly he starts to slow before falling from the bike, he tells Julie that they are not far now and that they need to walk the rest of the way, Julie is crying as she watches her father slowly walk her towards the diner, he collapses again and tells her he isn't gonna make it, he gives her a knife and tells her “everything is gonna be ok, you gonna make it back to your mother and your sister, and everybody in the group will keep you safe, and keep you strong” he hugs her and kisses her goodbye, she doesn't want to leave him but he insists she runs, and that she isn't far, after she leaves, Dylan checks his leg where he was bitten, he looks in his gun and there is one bullet left, he sits for a while, until he can't see Julie in the distance any more, thinking about his family he then sees the little boy that he killed in his accident, the boy tells him that he has been forgiven, Dylan looks at the sky and closes his eyes, he knows it is time for him to move on. Julie is walking down the highway alone, she hears a gunshot and looks behind her before she begins to cry, Doug and Zakhai see her on the side of the road and pick her up.
End of Season 1.
this episode was definitely an RIP ep, with Paul, Kaylah, Zane and Dylan dying, will be posting the new characters in my next blog for everybody who have lost a character this seasons, so it'll be first in best dressed for the new people.
Let me know what you guys thought of the character deaths? Do you think Sonja, Kimmy and Julie can survive without Dylan? And most importantly who do you think should lead the group next? And since this was the season final give me a best character and worst character and most shocking/saddest death.

rawr121 thanks for the comment as well, Dylan's death was both shocking and sad, also i just realized your two characters were with mine when i died XD
But maaaaah. Paul dying was the worst. ;-; I think the family will have a rough time but they'll get through it without Dylan. However the group lost it's leader and will likely be in disarray. I dunno who should be the new leader though. Best Character: Hmm. I'll give it to Dylan. Worst Character: Roxy? Shocking/Saddest death is Paul, I kinda expected Dylan to die when he got split with Julie.
DragonJason Paul's death was definitely sad, which was surprising since he was very minor in the season other than the end, very good point about the group being in disarray, and yeah there was no way I could do Dylan's death without people seeing it coming, but he died doing what he always had done, protecting his family.
Clementine117 you just fell into my curse, in my hunger games simulators somebody would say "yay i'm alive" or "i hope i don't die next" all of them died after saying this XD but there are a few characters for you to choose from in the next season you and Mickiejames22 will get first pick coz you are out of characters
