(Present) Jill and Mini stand armed facing the 3 people, the leader asks them if they are part of the army, Jill tells them “we aren't part of anything” see is looking in the woods behind the new people, their leader tells them to drop their guns and nobody will get hurt, he turns back to one of his own and says “we're not gonna hurt them, lets just take them and offer a trade” Jill tells them to drop their weapons and that they are surrounded, Doug and Annie come out from behind them, they drop their weapons and asks for their names “I'm Scott, this is Misty, and Walter” back at the diner Steven is still teaching Christian to shoot, this time with his other hand, Zakhai heads over to Eric's tent to check on him again “I know you wanted to be alone but I” Zakhai stops, his face in horror at what he sees, Eric is lying in his bed, his head cover with a pillow, and a bullet through his head, he calls Maria over to help him, they inspect the body and there is no gun, somebody did this to him, Taylor and Jake are talking to Sonja when Maria comes over and holds a gun up to them, Zakhai tells her to calm down but she wont, Alec tries to break it up but she aims her gun at him too, she tells Taylor, Jake and Alec to get into the storage shed and locks the door.
Jill, Mini, Doug, Annie, Scott, Misty and Walter walk to the diner, Jill tells Scott that they are good people and are only bounding them for the safety of her group, Scott tells her he believes her “if you were part of the group that attacked mine, we would be dead already” they arrive at the camp the camp to find the group fighting amongst themselves, Jill asks what is happening and Sonja tells her that Maria locked up Mini's group, Mini tells Maria to let his people out now but refuses, Jill tells her they have bigger problems, but Maria explains that Eric was murdered, Jill and Mini look at each other thinking about Lucas, Jill tells her to let Mini's people out as they need to put the 3 new people in it, Annie steals the key of Maria who walks away angry again “you don't know how to lead this group” Alec sees the new people enter and asks Mini what is happening, Mini tells Alec to keep it quiet but somebody murdered Lucas as well, Alec tells him that he'll help look into it.
Jill asks Alec and Mini that she needs them to figure out what happened to Eric and fast before Maria does something stupid, she is gonna talk to the new people and find out who they are, they enter the tent and check on the body, “whoever did this used the pillow to silence the shot” Alec says, Mini looks on the ground and sees a partial shoe print, they decide to try and match the print to whoever did it, Christian checks in on Julie and Kimmy, he wants to make sure they are ok after their father's death, Sonja tells him they have both been very quiet since it happened, Jill asks Mark to come over to help Jill talk with the new people, they move them inside the diner, they ask how many people are in their group, Scott says “only 6, there were more but we lost them along the way” Mark asks where the other 3 are “a group of men, they looked like they are in the army, they threatened us, tried to kill us, instead they wanted us to work for them, they wanted us to find somebody and that we are to report back to our old camp, they took 3 of us to make sure we obeyed, including my brother”
Jake and Taylor discuss their safety amongst the group, after what Maria did they don't really want to be here any more, Katy overhears them and goes to talk to Maria, Maria tells her all she does is protect the group, and that when the group didn't choose her as their leader over some new person she felt betrayed, Katy tells Maria what she does within the group, everybody appreciates it. “they're coming” Maria tells Katy, Katy looks on the road and sees a group of zombies heading in their direction, they call out to the group to grab their guns, Mark and Jill look at Scott, Misty and Walter, Jill unties them and gives them their weapons back, she tells them that some zombies are coming.
Maria, Katy and Steven sit on the roof shooting the zombies as they head towards them, Doug asks Annie to get in the van with her, Sonja, Kimmy and Julie hide inside the diner with Taylor, Jake and Christian, Jill, Mini, Alec, Zakhai, Scott, Misty and Walter stand on the road and begin shooting the zombies, but there is too many and they begin to get closer, during the shoot out Scott holds his gun up to Mini but shoots a zombie behind it, at the back of the diner more zombies start coming towards them, a few entering the diner, Sonja grabs her kids and backs away while Taylor and Jake begin stabbing the zombies as they approach, one falls on top of Jake but Christian shoots and kills it, Jake is ok and continues to stab, Maria is shooting at the zombies and sees Jill in a bit of trouble, she thinks about just letting them kill her, if Jill dies she can take over, but then she thinks of her sister lying dead in the street, she kills the zombies and Jill takes out the rest, Doug is driving the van, he tells Annie to do it, she opens the back doors and starts hitting a bunch of pots and pans to make noise, “I always wanted to play the drums” she laughs, they start to lead the zombies away from the diner.
Maria apologises to Jill for the way she handled Eric's death, she tells Jill they want the same thing, to protect the group and asks to speak to the new people to see if she can trust them herself, Jill agrees to let her, but first she needs to apologise to Alec, Taylor and Jake, she agrees, Mini sees Kimmy sitting alone, he talks to Kimmy about his childhood and how he grew up in a number of foster homes, and that he once found one of his foster brothers who had slit his wrists to try and kill himself, he tells Kimmy that he saved his life before it was too late, but he did it again a few months later and couldn't stop that, Kimmy begins to cry and tells Mini about what Lucas tried to do to her, and that she wanted to tell somebody about it and when she went to tell Eric she found him that way, she tells Mini that “I heard him talking to Roxy that day and that she sat by and listened for a while, he told her that she did 'save him' I thought he was gonna be fine, so I figured I check on him later and tell him about Lucas, I enter the tent to find that he had shot himself in the head, he pressed the gun to his head on the pillow and ended it, so I took the gun” Mini asks her why she took the gun “because he was brave, he always was more than happy to risk his life to save others, to get supplies, to clear out anything close to the camp, he was a hero, and I didn't want to have his memory ruined by him being to weak in the end because the weak will not survive in this world” Mini comforts her and tells her that it'll be ok.
Maria find Alec, she tells him that she apologised to the others and needed to do the same for him, she tells him that she is gonna talk to the new people and wants him there too, he tells her he wanted to talk to them anyway, Maria and Alec sit and talk to Scott who tells them the same story that he told Jill and Mark, Maria notices the way they described the army men who attacked Scott and his people are the same ones who killed her family, she grabs her gun but Jill tells her to wait for morning, and that if these men are nearby they are gonna have to all work together to take them down, Doug and Annie return Zakhai gives Scott, Misty and Walter some food, Zakhai leaves them and they are alone, Scott tells them that he believes these people are good, but if the person the bad guys are hunting are in this group then they are gonna hand them over and get his brother and the others back. Alec catches Maria running off from the diner, he follows her, Alec tells her she can't go off on her own, she tells him to stay out of her way, Alec loads his gun and tells her he isn't gonna let her go on her own and that it's too dangerous, Maria tells him the only way he can stop her is to shoot her, “I'm not trying to stop you” he tells her “I'm coming with you”.

Maria and Alec find themselves in some trouble while searching for the army men, the rest of the group search for Maria and Alec and collect as many supplies as the can, they are finally going to leave.
(for those who may be confused) the way Roxy finally 'saved' Eric was by him realising that after Roxy's death, and everybody else who died in the camp that after he is dead there is no sorry, no worry, no more killing, just peace so she 'saved' him from the world they live in.
Do you think Maria is slipping and losing her mind a little? Do you think Scott really will give up whoever the bad guys are after to save his own? And do you agree with the what Kimmy did to honour Eric's memory?
I think Maria did lose it for a bit, but grounded herself again only to have her emotions riled up again by hearing about the group that killed her family. She could go either way at this point. I do think Scott will handover whoever it is, though that person may end up doing it him/herself instead. You do crazy things for family and he's only just met these people afterall. Kimmy had good intentions but didn't think it through all the way, and in the end it only hurt the group as a whole so I think she was wrong.
