(Present) Mark and Katy are sitting by a fire, Oscar sits down across from them, he tells them he was in trouble and some people came to his rescue, they brought him back to their community and he decided to join them, “did you find your family” Katy asks, but Oscar doesn't respond, Mark asks him how safe their community is ans Oscar tells them it is safe, they have a high brick wall around the entire community with only one entrance that is heavily guarded, “we call it the Safe Haven”, Oscar explains that he is waiting to hear back from the leader if it is safe to bring back Mark's group. Oscar can't believe that Mark and Katy stuck around the diner for so long, just for him. “we waited there from when we said we would meet back, ended up staying a week or two after it, then we meet Dylan and he took up to his camp not to far from the diner, and were able to make trips back, I had almost lost hope that you were alive” Mark tells him, one of Oscar's men tell him that their leader is on the radio for him, Oscar heads away from them talk to their leader. Back at the Diner, Mini, Alec, Maria, Zakhai and Taylor arrive back at the diner.
(Flashback) Zakhai is inside his office building, he is taking supplies from the desks of others, he is about to head to his own when he starts to panic, one of his co-workers is on the ground, slowly crawling towards him, he is freaking out, he heads towards the stairs but zombies start coming from there, he gets to the elevator and it begins to close as zombies approach him, he closes his eyes and the door shuts in time, he lets out a sigh of relief, he gets back to the ground floor and the door opens, he sees the horror of the building being surrounded by zombies, they have smashed through the glass, and are heading towards him, they swarm on the elevator, this is the end Zakhai thinks to himself, he closes his eyes and is ready to accept his fate when sound of gun fire awakens him from these thoughts, a man grabs him and tells him to run.
(Present) Oscar returns and tells Mark and Katy he is sorry, they think they cannot be accepted into the community, Oscar tells them “I'm sorry for not coming back for you guys sooner, if I had know you guys would have stayed there for 3 months I would have come back as soon as I found the Safe Haven, our leader wants to talk to yours before deciding but I think it's a done deal” Mark and Katy use their radio to call their group, Zakhai answers and hands the radio to Jill, they tell her about the Safe Haven and she tells everybody to pack their things, Zakhai asks Taylor if they have room in their car for him to join, Taylor tells him “look I really am grateful that you care about me, and help me finally get up and do something but I have lost too much to open myself up like that again” Zakhai understands and gives her some space, Annie asks Jill if this is a good idea, Jill tells her if Mark and Katy trust Oscar she does, Annie doesn't deny them trusting Oscar but what about trusting the people Oscar is with, what if they are the bad guys that attacked Scott's group, Jill looks over at Christian and tells her “you just need to have a little faith”.
(Flashback) Zakhai and the man are running when Zakhai stops to throw up, he can't believe how weak Zakhai is, “why did you save me then if I'm so weak?” Zakhai asks him, “Because at least I could save you” he replies, “who couldn't you save?” Zakhai asks but they are forced to run again.
(Present) Zakhai loads up in the car with Doug and Steven, he asks Doug if he thinks he is weak, “you could have left me on that rooftop when I lost Paul, but you stayed and made sure I got off that rooftop alive as well, that makes you strong”, Christian gets in the car with Sonja, Julie and Kimmy, Sonja thanks him for doing what he can to help her and the kids, “Dylan begged me to come with you guys to help protect the kids, I want to do that to honour his memory”. Mark, Katy and Oscar are heading towards the Diner, Oscar asked the two men to head back to the Safe Haven while he helped pick up Mark and Katy's group, they are travelling in their car when they reach a stop, there is a bridge full of cars that they can't get past, they decide to try and move enough of them to make a path for the group to get through
(Flashback) Zakhai and the man make a camp in the woods, Zakhai asks if he knows those things are, the guy shows him a bite mark on a dead zombie “all you gotta do is avoid that, if you do nothing else will matter”, Zakhai falls asleep and the man begins talking to himself, Zakhai wakes up the next day and is alone, the man left him there with a small amount of supplies.
(Present) Scott tells Walter and Misty that if this “Safe Haven” is the people who took their own they will start killing whoever stands in their way, the group reach the bridge and are introduced to Oscar, they start moving the cars as well, Julie is sleeping in the back seat, Sonja asks Christian to watch over her while she helps push the cars, he agrees to, as the group starts making more noise from the cars, zombies slowly begin to rise from in the water under the bridge, the slowly start walking up to the top of the river bank, Walter screams out to Misty who gets torn apart in front of him, her screams in pain alert the group about the situation, Christian wakes Julie and picks her up over his shoulder, he runs across the bridge to the side that Mark, Katy and Oscar are on, Oscar calls out to them “get over this side, we can get everybody back, the group have to start moving though the vehicles, Zakhai, Taylor and Jake keep moving together, Alec is almost bitten but Maria risks her life to save him, he thanks her and they keep moving though the cars, Sonja is pushed to the edge of the bridge, she loses her step and falls over the edge, Zakhai sees it happens and runs over, he see Sonja screaming for help and running through the water away from the bridge and zombies, Zakhai jumps off the bridge to rescue her.
(Flashback) Zakhai has been alone for a week now, he is dehydrated and passes out, a car stops in front of him, it's Doug and Paul.
(Present) the group manages to kill the zombies, Walter sits over Misty's body, she begins to reanimate, he puts his knife through her head, Kimmy tells Mark and Jill that her mother is missing, Mini asks Jake where Zakhai and Taylor are, he tells him he lost them during the fight, Zakhai continues along the river searching for Sonja, he calls out for her and keeps killing zombies as he passes them, suddenly Zakhai is pulled to the ground by Sonja, who has turned and reanimated, she knocks his gun out of his hand, and he calls out for help, he closes his eyes once again to accept his fate before Sonja stops trying to kill him, he opens his eyes and sees Taylor who also followed him over the bridge to save her, he thanks her for saving his life, she tells him it was no problem, Zakhai kisses him, she goes to say something to him but instead her words turn to screams, she looks to the woods and sees somebody watching him, Zakhai gets up and looks as white as a ghost, it's the man who saved him.
End of Season 2.
Next Season Title: Bloodlines, we find out a lot more about the survivors and their family and lives, while also meeting a lot of new characters from 2 different communities.
The group is about to get to the Safe Haven but do you think what Annie said is true? Mark and Katy believe Oscar to be a good person but are the people he is with also good? Do you think Zakhai's luck is definitely starting to change? How will Kimmy and Julie handle the news of their mother's death now and who is this man that saved Zakhai and is he a good person or not?
I should be putting the Character list up for Season 3 soon(ish) after I right up the bio's for the new characters and the new bio's for our current ones. Also because of the large group we have now I am going to allow you guys to have 3 active living characters from here on out, so if you have no characters left you can pick 3 new ones, if you have 1 then you can pick 2 more and if you still have 2 you can pick 1 more, but once again I will give first preference to those who have no characters first.
It's possible they are the group that attacked Scott's group. They both are military (unless I just assumed that.) but they could have split apart early on and there could simply be two groups. Everytime we meet new people I try to call them out on not being 'good' and I fail, but I will continue the tradition and say this group will have many secrets that will kill some of the group and drive the rest away. I think Zakhai has always had good luck he just hasn't seen it, he's still alive after so many near misses afterall, being clumsy isn't bad luck. I think for Kimmy and Julie it'll be a breaking point, after Dylan they needed a rock and now they'll have to use each other and other members of the group because their mother is gone. I think they'll play a large role in season three whether that's a good thing or a bad thing we'll see. Since the guy was talking to himself he's likely a little cray but everyone is at this point I think he'll be a good dude. Unless the worlds changed him since he last met Zakhai.
