My analysis on Stars - - LONG

Mar 5, 2015 by joey96
I never have anything to say about a Stars game because I normally stay out of it...I barely vote half the time tbh but damn @ this cast.

I understand the logic of a few of them aka the remaining 4 people unnommed. However, do they not realize that at f5 at least one of you is going to have to go up?????? And then at least another one of you at f4????

Of course you want to go unnommed, it's a great achievement especially in a game as draining as Stars is, I would know, I've done it.

HOWEVER, what this cast is apparently failing to realize is that the HUGE alliance that is always made like Day 1, splits on Day 2 for a reason. There's always that ONE person that can't stay loyal for one day. However, it is seeming that a big alliance is failing to split this time, which, lets face it, big alliances simply do not work in Stars. Whether this clear group of 4 is a fraction left over from the beginning game alliance remains to be unseen, but it's clear they refuse to part ways.

This is where they are going wrong.......

Obviously all four of these guys WANT to go unnominated. But creating multiple flavors just to take out another flavor is not the way to do it. All it is going to do is get the one remaining flavor more steam when they are crushing two of you for 5th and 4th place.

Now obviously the tengaged public has massive respect for people who make it to the finals without facing the poll before and will often vote for them to win the game, but what are they going to do when/if 2 of them are in the finals unnommed with a flavor??? It's likely the vote will split b/w the two unnommed people and the flavor will ultimately win. So they are all just fighting for 2nd place at best right now.

It would have been smart to keep this alliance in the early stages of the game. But the one thing people don't seem to understand in this game, even the best players, is keep your options open. Secluding yourself to one particular group is suicide. Talk to EVERYBODY. Get whatever you can, make people feel comfortable enough to talk to you. It doesn't even have to be about game. If they are comfortable enough to talk to you about ANYTHING odds are, they trust you. Be genuine with people w/o ever showing your cards and get cutthroat when needed, most likely near the end.

Anyways, that's all I have to say. The lack of game play and stupidity has me astounded SORRY

I hope they read this and hopefully start caring, its becoming stressful being ignored in stars.

Plussed but people that vote for flavors should go fuck themselves tbh.... Gonna unnommed takes more skill than being flavored and winning any day of the week.

You aren't really thinking about the issue from all points of view.

Yes, obviously it's best not to flavor people. But the reason the four of them are sticking together and wanted to go unnommed is because if there are only two people left unnommed at final 4, they almost invariably get nommed together for fourth, so as to not have anyone go unnommed. THIS is the benefit of leaving so many unnommed people left in the game. It seems to me that the group of unnommeds is cycling through the rest of the cast rather well, and it'll be exciting to see how the end-game plays out to see if they repeatedly nominate the same people or not. But as of right now, the most anyone has been nommed is 3 times, which really isnt that many when you're at final 7.

I see where you're coming from but this doesn't really apply to our game.
Max's post is more of the logic than yours honestly but regardless +15
