imageThe world's most underlooked and most violent genocide happened in Rwanda. 800,000-1,000,000 people died in 100 days. That's a rate of about 2 people per minute. Families turned in each other, neighbours hacked each other to death, and even nuns poured gasoline on innocent victims in their own churches because they were a different racial group.

The west did nothing to stop it. The UN sent over a minimal troop and they had to leave. They couldn't intervene, so their purpose was gone. We even helped start the genocide by shipping over machetes to Rwanda, the key weapon the perpetrators used.

To this day, court proceedings are happening, and peace is being restored in Rwanda. But the genocide should never be forgotten.
