"The fake friendships, paranoia etc are exactly what I see more of from the UK. In the US and Canadian versions, it's all out on the table. I guess it makes it easier for the 'slower' viewers to keep up but makes it pretty boring and predictable for everyone else. That's the part of North American shows I don't like, they are 'dumbed down' for the masses.
In the UK, they don't KNOW if their 'best friend' is nominating them each week or not. They live in fear of who they deem friends and mentally break down far quicker. You don't get the same personal crisis'/breakdowns in North American versions, it just doesn't f**k with their heads enough. It's not a brain game at all.
In Canada and US it is all far too easy to read, again making it easier for the slower ones to keep up with and stay tuned in, I suppose
BBUK lasts longer and has a lot more twists as the housemates cant control the game themselves.
I find it's like playing the Disney edition in North America. No brain game involved just grade 8 mentality, group alliances. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz "
I do not think that guy understands they are two completely different games. BBUS/CAN is more about being able to control and manipulate people in the house, while BBUK is popularity. If you are loved by the UK more than anyone else in the house, you could be nominated every week and still make it. In US it would be almost impossible to do that.
legend_of_link I think you are making a bad and very stupid point.
BBusa and BBcan are way more interesting and have more twists.
What do they do in BBUK? They just sit around, talk about their lifes, girls are showing boobs and are in bikins and smoke. That's all they do in BB UK.
Oh and right, OH right and that annoying voice :
"It's 5pm in the Big Brother house and Lacey and Jennifer are talking about their kids back home" - LIKE WHO CARES!?!?!? No game, sooooo boring.
