I remember watching it a long time ago and think it was okay but I'm rewatching it now and it's fucking awful. It's not even awful in a entertaining way like The Room or Snakes on a Plane. Just in a in a really boring and cheap way. The use of "found footage" is not even executed right. This movie was trying to do the Paranormal Activity type of thing but forgot to make it somewhat believable. Arguments can be made that Paranormal Activity isn't very believable as well but it can most be looked over due to how well it can build up tension.
In this movie the main characters do not act like believable teenagers even in 2011 when the film was made. They act what a older person thinks a teenager would act like and it comes off very wooden. The acting doesn't help it either since the teen actor don't do a very good job. The worst thing about this movie is that it had some potential to not be so awful if the director knew a few thing about making "believable" found footage. Just look at The Blair Witch project the film maybe a bit slow for a newer audience but it does damn fine job with building up its tension.
