Ranking My Seasons #13- Japan (Season 2)

Nov 12, 2014 by manalord
imageSHOCKKKKEERRR! Everyone hear that.. That was Juilan's draw dropping that Tocantains is still somehow, someway, still in this ranking. Also there is Zach's flipping out but lol... Imma defend myself so chill everyone.

The Cast:

Gotemba:
-Jared(casey5705)
-George (Ireks)
-Jason (DragonJason)
-Alex(01Gohan)
-Will (SurvivorFan37)
-Josh (bigbro263)
-Emerson (JoshJosh123)
-Kyle(cowkal2)
-Dan(bigbrother101)

Fujinomiya
-Brad (brade900)
-Zach(tuter32)
-Kimiko (cassie_colvin)
-Sean (Renegade628)
-Shawn (Choirwolf)
-Matt(Matt99)
-Sheena (Sheena)
-Brendan (bwburke94)
-Jake (Lemjam6)

This cast was actully not bad at all. With really only Sheena and Matt being the only 2 really inactive people. For starters this season started slow. Not many blindsides, not much drama, and the tribes stayed even until the switch. At the Switch NuFuiji was decimated only having Will, Brendan and George left.

The really only intresting part of this swap was Brendan's wasted idol and Jason getting rocked to Occultus. Overall however NuGotemba is one of the strongest tribes in the series.

This season followed Tocantains by having a longer pre-merge again waiting until 8 people where left in the main game to become one tribe. Occultus manged to intrest no one as Kimmiko and Dan ran on cruise control until it was them + Jason. there they BOTH threw the final occultus challenge to Jason where he took out Kimmiko, whose master plan of cursing to occultus and being taken to the end failed.

Jason, Dan, Will, Alex, George and Josh then agreed orginal Gotemba strong against Sean, Jake, Zach and Brendan. With Brendan flipping over to Gotemba however the most intresting people of the season (Sean, Jake and Zach) where pagonged.

With the Double Tribal twist, Brendan won immuinty so the three muskateer's allaince (Will/Jason/Josh) took out irrelvents Dan/George who they did not need, and then proceed to pick off the two outsiders during the finale ( Alex first then Brendan).

Overall the season was kinda predictable, because Will's allaince was never in danger. Will however was a very good winner. I do feel this season just did not age well. Unlike Tocantains which made me exicted to re-read everything back, Japan.. it was kind of boring minus confessionals and with the exception of the Final 4, everyone else who gave good ones was pagonged.

Overall Japan is NOT a bad season. It is not good either it is turly a meh season. Nothing Special, just a run-of-the mill standard season and for that reason it just lacks against the seasons that are left which truly shine in at least one area or another.

Fun Facts:
- Jake and Zach have played the most times together out of anyone in the series with 4.
- This was the first time I ever used Occultus Island. It was used again in Season 12.
- This was the first season in Gen 2 to use a Tribe Swap and a Double Tribal. Both have been used since.
- This was the first season to have someone play an idol. No one played it successfully, however.
- Every single finalist revecived at least one vote from the jury. As of now, every single finalist has obtained jury votes.

You forgot me as a returnee. xD
