Ranking My Seasons #10- One World (Season 15)

imageOkay here comes a Contrversial one.. One World. A season with so much potential, and it is a good season no doubt, but when compared to the other seasons, it just can't live up to them. This cast is the most compeitive cast since All-Stars, so it looks good.

Now for the issues. I feel like for starters the pre-merge was modertly boring and dull espically the first swap. The only actual blindside was Martin, and even that wasn't exactly unpredictable or anything.

After tribe where swapped again it seemed like obvious allaince ran each tribe and all we did was lose everyone entertaining. The only intresting part was the unbareable Finalists allaince( Snow, AJ, Zach and Ben) start to get picked off. I have no clue why I HATED this allaince so much, as i love them all indvidually, but together... I could not handle it.

Even more going into the 3rd Swap we really did not see anything spectacular again until Natalie's blindside, which was the first really intresating tribal of the season. Snow going was something that should have happened ages ago, but her story of just barely surviving every vote, would be more intresting if it lasted longer.

So at the merge there where two really strong sides. Mearl/Stoner/AJ/Jimbo/Ryan vs Andrew/Stephan/Newz/Marissa with Jake/Dakota in the middle. I felt it was an obvious descion that they would go to Stoner's side, so I was shocked when Stoner/AJ fucked everything up and costed Jimbo his game.

After this though both myself and Joe where sure Stoner was getting to the end, and frequently refered to the game as 'Stoner's Charity' and due to my own flaw in the twist, it costed the games of extermly entertaing newbies 'Stephan/Newz/Marissa' , and also Andrew, who I felt had played an amazing game through the season.

So overall thanks to the twist the post-merge was rather predictable. After Ryan's boot it was a snorefest until Marissa handed over her win and got blindsided, however it never picked up after that.

The Final 3 was very good, and all very deserving, espically Stoner and Mearl for making it to the end THREE times. Dakota's win does not hurt the season at all though because people where saying from late pre-merge Dakota was a threat and needed to go, and the fact he still made it to the end is impressive.

So why is this season above the previous ones.
1- Activty
2- Better Confessionals
3- Despite having very few blindsides the big ones (Nataile/Jimbo/Ryan) where amazing ones.

Why is it lower
1- Drama wasn't amazing. Libya/Nicagura/BvW/Fans vs Failures had amazing fights and memorable drama. I felt that One World's drama was pretty irrelvent other then Marrissa's undying hated for Jake.

2- Stratgey wasn't intresting. The 'Stack Vote' twist while intresting kinda ruined the suspence and stratgey for most of the game. So it really prevented any great stratgeic plays from coming.

So while it is a Good season, it just isnt Great/Amazing ect. Its just good, nothing special, and sadly to be with the other seasons, it really had to be.

Fun Facts:
- From what I saw, it looked like AJ had 100% sheeped Mearl/Stoner the entire game. The cast seemed to thing that was unture. #MoreyaKnow

- This season featured the first time the 'Chests' twist 'punishments' carried on into the merge. Usually people go to tribal in that time.

- This is one of the longer pre-merges in the series lasting 9 rounds total. I know it seemd longer, but really it was only 9 rounds (3 per swap).

Returnees:
- No on From This seasons has yet to return. No One From this season has been considered or Asked back for a season in casting. However, Some may be considered for the next returnee season.

Grade: 75% C

I'm guessing shit must have stirred after I left Sierra Leone, because the portion I played sucked (although that's mainly because SurvivorRulz96 annoyed the fuck outta me)
