Rick's Top 40 Favourite TSC Songs of 2015 (36-33)

Mar 10, 2016 by ricktworick1
Notes:
- All songs sent in between TSC 189 to 225 are eligible
- This is based on my personal opinion. Please do not take any offense from what I think of. Strictly my own thoughts
- Contrary to some weird belief, I don't believe that my music taste is better than anyone else's. This list is for you all to have some fun and laugh at possible comments I make.
- I also include some of my own entries, but don't worry, I'm not that arrogant to have more than 10 entries about myself

36. I.Am.L - Lionheart

Sent by #Fritzyyyyy in TSC195, placed 16th with 47 points.

This song is so irrelevant that it had to be separately uploaded onto YouTube just for TSC, because nobody else actually even tried to bother to share this piece with the public. Well, Fritz didn't exactly share it with a huge group of people, as he made this video fucking unlisted, but maybe that's a good thing, because we can keep this gem only for Tengaged now. Great change of the pace from verses to chorus is honestly what makes this tune so brilliant. Extremely underrated.

35. Sigma - Glitterball (feat. Ella Henderson)

Sent by #Fritzyyyyy in TSC203, placed 4th with 85 points.

Sigma, on the other hand, are a very well known british drum'n'bass duo, who consistently produce some great singles. This is far from their best, the lack of power in chorus is the main thing that prevents this song from placing higher on this list. I must admit it has hugely grown on me over the time, though, as in the past I felt like the missing layer in the chorus was extremely detrimental for the value of the tune. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything.

34. Alessia Cara - Here

Sent by #Smi9127 in TSC199, placed 8th with 63 points.

Ah, the problems of the introvert that goes to a party, I know a little something about that. There are pretty good reasons why this song made Alessia Cara relevant - the production is pretty exceptional for its ability to keep the one-dimensional melody interesting, and the structure of the song is nothing like I have ever heard before - being able not take that many breaths in between the lines already tells you a lot about the abilities of Alessia. Let's hope she consistently pulls off stuff like this.

33. Faouzia - Knock On My Door

Sent in TSC224 by #Nerdbird44, placed 1st with 110 points.

I was honestly shocked when I found out that she was younger than I am. She sounds like someone that has graduated from a music college, and to find out that she's only a teenager honestly made me mind-blown. Together with the great backings and some cheesy, yet effective instruments, her debut in TSC landed her a win, and it's not really shocking considering the quality of this tune.

I think Lionheart eventually got uploaded to youtube and then deleted. ^_^

I still think it's a pretty fantastic song that got slept on heavily in its contest, but you win some, you lose some.
