Notes:
- All songs sent in between TSC 189 to 225 are eligible
- This is based on my personal opinion. Please do not take any offense from what I think of. Strictly my own thoughts
- Contrary to some weird belief, I don't believe that my music taste is better than anyone else's. This list is for you all to have some fun and laugh at possible comments I make.
- I also include some of my own entries, but don't worry, I'm not that arrogant to have more than 10 entries about myself
8. Machineheart - Watercolors
Sent by #Bibbles in TSC214, placed 3rd with 91 points.
We always joke about Bibbs' typical performance in TSC, but when she wants to, she sends absolute gold like this. The same band that had a great collab with Vanic, they continue with their quirky elements, but this time they put it together with some brilliant melodic line and progressive buildup to the orgasmic chorus. Great stuff!
7. Ella Eyre - Good Times
Sent by #Fritzyyyyy in TSC210, placed 2nd with 128 points.
I have always found this entry to be much much better than the song she won with. It is clearly apparent that Sigma did a lot of the production job even before looking that up, but that works almost flawlessly for Ella, who delivers her typical strong vocal performance to this great, dancy tune. I love her music simply for the fact that the high quality of her releases is very consistent, and every single is waited with huge anticipation, because we all know it's going to be awesome sauce. I was honestly quite surprised that this didn't win, but hey, we need to let #Insanity celebrate sometimes as well.
6. Foxes - Feet Don't Fail Me Now
Sent by #Fritzyyyyy in TSC215, placed 1st with 109 points.
She's pretty much a definition of TSC-staple artist. Again, I love her music simply for the fact that she consistently releases songs with similar high quality - she never has a tendency to release some bullcrap music, unlike most of the pop stars these days. This song may not be as great as the brilliant "Youth", but I can REALLY APPRECIATE IT for what it is - great progression from verses to chorus, her angelic voice, the production - everything is pretty much spot on.
5. AURORA - Running With The Wolves
Sent by #Mack3199 in TSC202, placed 9th with 77 points.
Typically, a song like this would place much lower in my ranking, but there are so many subtle production elements that can easily go unnoticed that really impressed me. The production is quite genius - the beat is barely audible at times, but then it explodes right into your fucking face during the chorus. Her voice may not be strong, but that's a good thing in this case - I can pay attention to the 4-chord format that is so intriguing that I cannot really describe it.
