- Contrary to some weird belief, I don't believe that my music taste is better than anyone else's, although I have no idea if it's useful to post that because every year there are some idiots crying about their songs not being appreciated enough. This list is for you all to have some fun and laugh at possible comments I make.
- I also include some of my own entries, but don't worry, I'm not that arrogant to have more than 10 entries about myself
This song did absolutely terrible in Eurovision, finishing 22nd there. This further proves that the general ESC audience are idiots who clearly had some botched hearing surgeries causing them to dislike every entry that has musical quality to it, and Barei's song definitely was the biggest victim to the viewers' stupidity. Production and quality wise, "Say Yay" was the most westernised song to enter both the ESC and the ESC-themed TSC, and thankfully the Tengaged public rewarded Barei with a runner-up position to the decent, albeit inferior ballad "Sound of Silence" by Dami Im (who got robbed in the actually Eurovision Song Contest by placing second to the shitstain excuse of vocal-masturbation that Jamala's "1944" undoubtedly was and is). It's just a shame that Barei's other releases aren't really of some great quality, but hey, TSC is all about the hit and miss ratio, and so far hers is amazing.
3. Mura Masa - What If I Go? - #Insanity, TSC237, 7th, 78 pts
2016 was definitely filled with a huge bunch of rather unlistenable experimental crap and TSC did not escape that either. Some horrible attempts at being quirky were entered, such as VV Brown's bullshit music from her terrible album called "Glitch" or the horrendous, but adequately-named "Drop" by Chloe x Halle, with the title probably suggesting the drop of musical quality that 2016 suffered. Thankfully, there's always one song in a sample of shitty music that actually sounds like a proper tune, and "What If I Go?" exactly shows how to complement unique elements in a sensible manner. The drop, although quite unexpected, is probably one of the best drops of 2016, and with the chill, but still intriguing verses and pre-drop chorus, Mura Masa showed exactly how can one be different without sacrificing it to sound like VV's "Sacrifice."
2. Dua Lipa - Hotter Than Hell - #Patrick319, TSC236, 4th, 103 pts
Sorry Patrick, but I had to keep the tradition of you being in 2nd place, especially when it really fits your 2016 performances *giggles*. But in all seriousness though, "Hotter Than Hell" was a favourite to take my number 1 spot until there was one entry which just grew on me to the point that it landed at the peak of my list. Nevertheless, Dua Lipa's song here is a kind of a pop release that I usually really enjoy from getaway. The song was so popular among the TSC crowd that #Yoshitomi tried to implement a theme for every contestant to get a letter or a number just so some people wouldn't be allowed to send this entry. When I was handed over the hosting duties, five people tried to get this song, and Patrick was the successful one, although I don't think he was satisfied with finishing in 4th (and neither was I, I thought this would have had an easy top 3 or a win), but whatever. I am still happy that this song continued to increase Dua Lipa's popularity everywhere, and if I'm not mistaken, this is her biggest hit in the UK, so I don't think she cares about placing 4th in a game that she has probably never heard of and if she finds out about it, it's highly doubtful that she would give a crap.
PLOT TWIST BITCHES, IT'S NOT A FEMALE. I already imagine that some of the reactions will be like "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU RICK, THIS IS A CHUBBY WHITE MALE, HOW DID IT MAKE IT TO YOUR NUMBER 1 SPOT WHEN ALL YOU DO IS SEND FEMALE VOCALISTS." Well, surprise surprise, a male can obviously make good music, it's just the fact that the production they are given or choose is usually quite inferior to what female singers usually get. However, the case with Rag'N'Bone Man is that his tone to the vocal is extremely soulful, so for the song to be effective it only needs a simple beat, with production not in need of some heavy synth. What I did not expect though was the extent of effectiveness of this tune. It never really goes too hard, but it maintains the balance by keeping me intrigued by the beat and obviously the vocal, which never goes towards the area of vocal olympics.
It has to be noted that the subtle elements in this tune are also a huge factor in terms of the final position of this entry on my list. The producers gave him a tune in a way that everything becomes more audible during the chorus, and I absolutely love that. The single itself also contains a great message, which is honestly quite rare in mainstream music. As predicted, "Human" would start his successful music career, but I'm a bit skeptic on whether he will be able to maintain the momentum, similarly with Carly Rae Jepsen, except the latter actually started producing great tunes as soon as she faded back into obscurity again. I predict the same could happen to Rag'N'Bone Man and hopefully I am not correct with that.

Rag'N'Bone nearly was my #1 as well, but I went with "All Night Long" because I've listened to it so many times without even remotely getting sick of it. That's a testament to how good it is. Though, it's also a testament to how good "Human" is, that I wouldn't allow myself to run the risk of overplaying it. Great choice and good list!
