If Big Brother

12 white people
2 black people
1 asian person
1 hispanic/latino person

then they are racially accurate according to the American census. (in a 16 person cast.)

This season we had:

14 white people
1 black person
1 asian person
1 hispanic/latino person

With the addition of 3 LGBT contestants. While they could be more diverse, it's not like they're terrible.
