Survivor Samoa had a fantastic cast with lots of great characters..... but one of the biggest characters in Survivor history cast a shadow over them, as well as dominating the game. What would the game look like if I replaced Russell with a random post HvV male? I random.orged it, and it chose Joe Del Campo to take Russell's place. Let's see how this works out!

Erik and Brett felt betrayed by Monica, particularly Erik who was evidently angry at her.
TWIST
The two tribes merge.
AIGA CAMP
Although Erik was mad at Monica, Brett did his best to try and unite the Galus.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Jaison and Kelly win immunity for their respective genders.
AIGA CAMP
Erik and Marisa bicker over how things worked over at each of their camps. Dave was on the look out for cracks in the Foa Foa alliance, and he thought that Liz was on the outside, which was pretty accurate. He approached her about flipping, and she says that she will as she doesn't feel any connection to her old tribe. Joe thought it seemed like Liz was flipping over to the Galus, so he talked to her about it. She tells him the truth and Joe told his tribe. Jaison proposed the idea to vote for her and to hope that one of the Galus would flip on the revote in fear of going to rocks, and the Foa Foas agreed that this would be a good idea. The Galu alliance saw Mike as the player that they would never think to play the idol on, so they targeted him.

Neither Natalie or Brett play their idols.

woeisme I know! I think it is a great season either way, but I would have preferred Russell in a season where there was a weaker cast like Gabon or something.
Yea I see what you mean. Look at it this way though, most of what made Samoa great had to do with Russell. So I don't mind him being in the season, I just wish the edit was more fair to the other players. Look at Tocantins and Gabon for example: Coach and Sugar were huge characters, but it wasn't 100000% about them. If they used that same editing strategy with Samoa, it would have been kick ass, haha. Brett for example had a legitimate shot to win, but we barely knew he existed until the last few eps
woeisme I'm with you, but I feel like Samoa had enough good gameplayers on its own w/o Russell, so if Russell had been in a less competitive season like Gabon I would have preferred that
