When the old schoolers hit the beach, Jeff let them grab food and supplies and bring them back to their tribal mats. During this, unbeknownst to the castaways, there was a hidden advantage, the Legacy Advantage, sitting out. Rafe saw it and grabbed it before anyone saw him.

After this, both tribes go back to their camps and everyone is generally friendly with eachother. But this won't last long. At the immunity challenge, Takali beat Vanua and win flint as well as safety.

Back at Takali camp, John and Rafe clearly have different lifestyles. They argue for a bit about politics, nothing too intense, but they both knew that they couldn't bear to live with each other for much longer. Just after this, Paloma pulled Rafe aside and told him not to argue with John, since he'd be gone soon anyways. Rafe argued with her, but ultimately knew what was best for the tribe. Later on, Amy and Patricia have a major fight over the shelter, helping draw lines in the sand. The first alliance of the game forms, Amy, Jeanne, John, and Paloma. They include John because he will serve as a great shield for them in the future.

At Vanua, Cirie is impressing the tribe with her hard work ethic. She does this as strategy, since she knows she already has a huge target on her back. Nicole and Sundra talk about their personal lives and begin to bond. It wasn't much, but they both gained a liking to one another and know that they'll be good friends on the island. Those two, Lex, James, and Edgardo form a majority alliance. The majority alliance, mainly Lex, decided on voting Dirk out for being a bit of an annoyance at camp with his constant bible talk. James, however, was dead set on taking Cirie out and went against his alliance. He was able to get Dirk and Trish to vote with him, but nobody else. Cirie and T-Bird voted together against Nicole, a challenge liability, but ultimately the majority alliance plus Anthony all voted for Dirk and sent him home in a 5-3-2 vote.

Final 19

At the next immunity, Takali beats Vanua yet again. They win a tarp for their shelter as well.

Back at the Takali camp, the alliance of Amy, John, Jeanne, and Paloma was crumbling in on itself. Amy was bonding a lot with Rory, and the others were socially integrating themselves, upsetting John, thinking they were unloyal. This lead him to leave the alliance. The now 3 woman alliance decided to align themselves with Rory, Lydia, and Jed for a 6 man majority. John, now all alone and seemingly next out went hunting for the hidden immunity idol, only to find it.

At Vanua, Cirie does her best to bond with James since she knows he is after her and that her tribe would easily keep him over her, and James seems to take this very well. Trish wanted to take Anthony out for being a smart kid, and Nicole and Lex agreed with her and put their votes on Anthony. Cirie and T-Bird, again out of the loop, both voted for Edgardo because they didn't like his attitude. Sundra wanted to take Cirie out, and she had both Edgardo and Anthony on board. This left the vote up to James, who had the option to vote out either Cirie or Anthony. James decided to keep Cirie around and voted for Anthony, sending him home 4-3-2.

Final 18

After the tribal council didn't go his way, Edgardo went out to find the hidden immunity idol and found it.

At the immunity challenge, Takali continued their streak and sent Vanua back to tribal council again. They win some comfort items.

Back at Takali, Jeanne and Rafe become closer. The majority alliance decided that Lydia was too much of a challenge liability, so they slowly switched from her to John, who had proven himself worthy to the tribe with his work ethic, and Nate, one of their top challenge competitors. This made the outsiders Rafe, Lydia, and Patricia. Rafe began to associate with Jeanne as well, in an attempt to socially integrate himself. Nate had an argument with Jeanne about the fire, which led to Jeanne disliking Nate.

At the Vanua camp, Edgardo was doing all he could to save his ass, even though he was in with the majority alliance he knew that the game flipped and flopped very easily. The rest of the team was impressed with his work ethic. Lex decided that he needed to branch out more and become more acquainted with people who weren't in his alliance. He shared a powerful conversation with Sundra on the beach, and they became very close. He also started up an alliance with Cirie and T-Bird, two people he was previously targetting. Trish was targetting Edgardo because she was suspicious of him suddenly working so much harder. She got Cirie and T-Bird on board. However, Nicole wanted Cirie gone for good, because she'd been sticking around day after day like a cockroach. Sundra was on her side, as well as Edgardo. This left Lex and James in the middle. Edgardo decided to put his trust in his alliance and he didn't play his idol, and as it turned out, he didn't have to. Lex and James decided to keep the majority alliance in power and voted Cirie out, 5-3.

Final 17

After the tribal council, Lex took T-Bird aside and apologized, and T-Bird quickly forgave him, as she understood what he had to do. They decided to keep working together.

At the reward challenge, Takali continued their streak and won meats, vegetables, and spices.

At the immunity challenge, Vanua did the seemingly impossible and defeated Takali, sending them to their first tribal council.

Back at the Vanua camp, Edgardo and Sundra bicker back and forth about the fire since it went out. Later on, while Sundra was sitting out on the beach Edgardo approached her and apologized. She forgave him and they sat together on the beach telling stories and jokes. Lex and T-Bird bond strongly, and Lex decides that he won't turn on her for the majority alliance. James decided to leave the alliance because he thought that Nicole and Sundra should be voted out sooner rather than later for being challenge liabilities.

At Takali, Jeanne and John bond a ton after he was very rude to her in the beginning days. She decides that keeping John in the majority alliance was a good idea after all. Nate and Rory, two big heads, clash over small, dumb things. They don't like each other very much, but they know they have to stick together for now for the good of the tribe. The majority alliance argued ever whether they should get rid of Lydia or Patricia. Amy wanted Patricia out more, mostly for personal reasons, while Jeanne wanted Lydia out. Rafe wanted John gone, although he knew the odds of that happening. Patricia was voting for Amy for the big fight they had earlier on. Lydia voted for John along with Rafe, and the majority alliance decided on Patricia for being a bigger challenge liability, voting her out 7-2-1.

Final 16

Jeff announced that there would be a tribe swap, into three different tribes. One tribe would have to start completely new at Ika Bula, but to make up for this they'd have one extra member. The new Vanua tribe would consist of Lex, Nate, Sundra, T-Bird, and Trish. The new Takali tribe consisted of Amy, Jeanne, Nicole, Rafe, and Rory. And finally, the new Ika Bula tribe consisted of Edgardo, James, Jed, John, Lydia, and Paloma.

At Vanua, Lex was the glue that held T-Bird and Sundra together. That three would be the majority alliance, leaving Nate and Trish at the bottom.

At Takali, Jeanne and Amy were tight, and Rory was their number 3, giving them the numbers over Rafe and Nicole.

At the new Ika Bula tribe, Jed, Paloma, and John were the only alliance there. This left Edgardo, James, and Lydia alone at their tribe.

At the immunity challenge, Vanua took first place, followed by Takali, sending Ika Bula to tribal council.

At the Vanua camp, Lex impressed everyone with his work ethic to try and get on the good side of the other tribe mates that he wasn't aligned with. T-Bird and Sundra had a small disagreement, worrying Lex for the days to come, he hoped that he could keep them all together.

At the Takali camp, Rory got into a fight with Rafe. This led to Rafe and Rory both wanting each other out at the next tribal council. Amy pulled Rory aside and got upset with him since they needed Rafe to succeed later on in the game, causing Rory to blow up at her and thinking that she was talking down to him. This caused animosity in what was currently the majority alliance.

At Ika Bula, Edgardo attempted to bond with Paloma in an attempt to integrate himself into the majority alliance. Lydia sees through him, and calls him out on it, causing a small fight between the two of them. John thinks that he should go and goes to him and tells him to keep away from his alliance. This angers Edgardo, and Edgardo thinks that John should go for being weak in challenges and being a dick to him. John thinks that Edgardo should go for being what he thinks is a snake. Edgardo attempts to get Lydia, James, and Paloma on his side to get rid of John. John thinks he has the numbers to get rid of Edgardo, and Edgardo thinks he has the numbers to get rid of John. At tribal council, they both hold on to their idols, and Edgardo was voted out unanimously, 5-1, making John safe.

Final 15

At the Vanua camp, the idol is rehidden since it was in the possession of Edgardo who was voted out. Trish went out and found it.

At the reward challenge, Vanua won baked goods, iced tea, and milk. Takali came in 2nd and got chocolate chip cookies.

At the immunity challenge, Takali came in first, leaving it down to Vanua and Ika Bula. Ika Bula won, sending the new Vanua to their first tribal council.

At Takali, after blowing up on her the other day, Rory apologized to Amy and attempted to bond with her. Though she saw right through him, she appreciated the effort. Jeanne wowed everyone with her immunity challenge performance and everybody saw her as a good competitor for their tribe. Jeanne and Nicole warm up to each other, Nicole as a strategic move, in hopes of turning her against Rory.

At Ika Bula, everyone goes out for the newly hidden idol, but Jed finds it before anyone sees him. John finds a lot of trust in Paloma for saving him at the last tribal council and begins to like her a lot more. James played like his younger self in the immunity challenge, impressing everyone else in the tribe.

At Vanua, Trish hints at an idol to T-Bird, building trust between the two. Trish goes around and guns hard for Lex after she hears that he wants her out. T-Bird is left in the middle of it all. She decides that she would never turn on Lex, and convinces Trish that she has the votes to blindside Lex so she wouldn't play her idol, when in reality, everyone voted for Trish, sending her home with the idol in her pocket.
