Ranking the Cast of Game Changers - #18

Jun 2, 2017 by survivornerd
Me, DumbGinger, Solinne64, adamsel, and BigBrother_78 took the liberty of ranking each member of the cast of Game Changers based on strategy, and we combined all the rankings. If two castaways received the same score, longevity in the game determined who got the higher spot on the list.

Well, if you couldn't tell by the picture, #18 is JT THOMAS.

Stats:
Finish: 16/20
Challenge Wins: 6
Votes Against: 3
Days Lasted: 13

Here's why he's #18:

adamsel - The combined tribal council is the worst. But what made it worse is that JT literally went from just needing to get someone from the other side out to getting his best ally eliminated. Terrible. Worse game than Heroes vs. Villains.

BigBrother_78 - I honestly don't blame JT for the move he made against his tribe. He really trusted Brad and really thought that Brad and his tribe would vote for Sandra, not Malcolm. But, that's why he went home

DumbGinger - Im saying it right here, right now, and you can all send me hate mail all you want- JT is not a bad player. He's performed worse each time he's played, I can level with you on that, but he's never ventured into purely bad gameplay territory. In Tocantins, he played what I would probably consider the best winning game ever. But, that's irrelevant, we're talking Game Changers right now. The thing about JT is, you have to understand his mindset, because it's not like he's just some dumb hick who doesnt know what he's doing. JT has won already. JT knows that the chances of anyone winning a second time, especially after Sandra, is VERY slim. Therefore, every time JT has returned, I truly don't think he's trying his best to win. He's trying sure, but he knows that since he's already taken home the gold, he has the freedom to just kinda dick around and make some very risky moves. Now, these moves have yet to pay off for him- they have so far only blown up majorly in his face, but I can see the logic behind them, I can see that if they had worked, they probably would have given him complete control of the game. Telling Brad the plan at Malcolm's boot? That had like a 50/50 of working and sending Sandra home. If it had worked, it would have been amazing. Now, the raft thing im not defending, and not even bringing his idol to tribal? That's simply poor gameplay, you cant defend that. BUT, the moves JT makes, the way he goes about them, the connections he's usually able to make very well, they all make sense. JT is NOT a bad player, however, since these things DID in fact blow up in his face this time, I have to rank him low. Gingey's placement- 16th

Solinne64 - What we can say is that he played the game. In a bad way but he did. Being voted out with an idol in your Pocket while being in the minority is one of the stupidest thing ever. Add to that he was responsible for Malcolm going, had he shut his mouth it would've been Sierra that went, they then could've won the next challenges and he could've stayed and/or send Sandra home! He played an ever worse game than he did in Heores VS Villains and deserve 19th place!

Me - J.T. makes extremely risky moves, and they just don't pay off. There's not much to say about his game that hasn't already been said, so I'm just gonna write a tribute to him. J.T. is one of my favorite Survivors of all time, when I watched Tocantins (my first Survivor season) when I was just 9 years old you better believe I fell in love with the challenge beast, ultra charming, country boy. I pray he returns for more shenanigans because he's a great character, but I think we can all agree that he played an absolutely shitty game this time around.
