imageAlright, I'm gonna try and make this quick and to the point, since I'm sure there are going to be tons of election blog posts in the next 24 hours. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be too preachy. I'm not trying to be a talking bumper sticker or anything, haha, but...

GET OUT AND VOTE! If you're not old enough, urge all of your family & friends to get out there and vote. Don't be silent. I've heard all of the reasons for not voting, and they're all bull. Don't get me wrong, I love conspiracy theories and such, but there's no reason not to vote. Don't say "your vote doesn't count" -- Don't say "the candidate I like didn't make it through the primaries" -- Don't say "the system is fucked" Shit, I know the system is fucked. But the fact is we live in a democracy where there is a system set in place for everyone to have a voice. So VOTE. I'm not gonna advocate any candidate(s) because frankly, I don't think you care who I support. It is a citizen's civic duty to become educated on the candidates and the issues and then make their own educated decision. ok, maybe that totally goes without saying. Ok, I'm done. VOTE!
