There's a house.. built out.. in space............

Anyone know that feel when you have a song you really love and then you suddenly find out what it's about and it totally changes your perception of the song? Because.. holy hell, that just happened to me.

I've had and loved this song for a few months and never really thought about the lyrics -- I just looked them up and found out it's about a little girl they knew who had a cancerous tumor in her brain and their attempts to comfort her in the hospital. "I can't see the thief that lives inside of your head, but I can be some courage at the side of your bed, but I don't know what's happening and I can't pretend..."

The last, like, 10-15 seconds of the song consist of a child singing; I always skipped that part before because I thought it was just weird and didn't get it, but as it turns out that's actually the /girl the song is about/ singing a Sunday School song that goes "Little by little, every day, in every way, Jesus is changing me; I'm not the same person that I used to be." ...fuuuck. And the music video consists solely of the band sitting in the rain looking sad for four straight minutes.

Powerful shit.
