Hello all, you should have heard by now that for season 40 you will get to vote to decide the cast of 21 out of a pool of 102 past one-time players.

I'll try to outline the rules and outline any questions in this forum.
Prior to this vote I contacted every onetime player to have played my series and asked them if they would like to be included in the poll. If they responded to my official mail then they were added to the list. If when you look at the poll you can't find yourself on the list and you feel you should be simply mail me and we'll look and see if you responded but were accidentally left out.

The rules of the poll are simple. Every day you should be allowed to cast one ballot. On this ballot you can select up to 10 players who you wish to vote for. Every time you vote the list will be in a random order to prevent an favouritism regarding alphabetical order of usernames. I realise it may be a pain to scroll through 102 usernames to find who you are looking on but be patient and if need be simply use the find function of your browser to search for the player you're looking for.

All things going to plan, the poll will be open until July 14th. I leave for an overseas trip at the end of the week and return July 12th. I'll have more details about the reveal then but obviously given tiredness/extended travel dates the closing date may be shifted slightly. So bear with me in regards to that. When I know the details I'll mail everybody in the poll about the cast reveal. The cast reveal will have its own set of rules to deal with players who may have been banned/become inactive/left tengaged over the voting period.

When it comes to selecting the 21 players for Survivor Togo poll results will be the main elements however other factors will be used to break ties and round out the 21. These are important to note.
- A maximum of 3 people may return per season. I know this sucks for players in the poll who are up against lots of their fellow cast-members but this rule is necessary to counteract recency bias and ensure we don't have 10 or more players returning from the same season. This is meant to be a new season, not a repeat of a past one.
- In the even of a tie the first thing taken into account will be whether or not players sent in final words. If of the tied players one sent in final words while the other did not, preference will go to the player who took the time out of their day to send in final words.
- If final words cannot break the tie then the next step will be the players placement in their previous season. E.g. a 1st place finisher will be given preference over a 5th place finisher.
- If players are still tied, it's likely the numbers from their season/their previous gameplay will be used to make the decision on who makes it.

Since finalists didn't have the option to have final words, what happens if they're in a tie with someone who did? Do they just skip that step?
