In the small town of Odessa, Texas there is one night that gives the town something to live for: Friday Night. The Permian Panthers have a big winning tradition in Texas high school football, and is the town's pride and joy. Now on their way to state, the Panthers must go out and be perfect, because they may never matter this much for the rest of their lives.

Friday Night Lights displays the stress that the town gives the high school players to win, and the hope that the team gives to a small town, and how a team has its low points, its high points, and how they come together as a team on their way to victory.

IT'S FIVE YEARS LATER AND THE STUDENTS HAVE ALL GRADUATED COLLEGE AND HAVE RETURNED TO THEIR HOMETOWN OF ODESSA, TEXAS.

We will now be starting jobs, families, reuniting with friends, family, and enemies. Football is still a major part of our lives. Most will be watching the sport from the stands, others from the sidelines as they will now be coaching, and some will be watching their own kids play or cheer for the team.
