The Amazing Race S29 Power Rankings (Top 4)

0 PowerRankings101, May 20, 2017

As predicted, the first leg was non-elimination. Not predicted, Brooke & Scott remain in the race and unfortunately, we lose Becca & Floyd, or Team Fun. A sad day, but if there is a redemption or all-stars race in the future, I expect to see them there. So how do we rank these final four racers before the finale? Which three teams will make it to the final leg? Let’s see.
4. London & Logan (#TeamLoLo)- While they’ve managed to hang in there, they just don’t have the same dominant story arc that Matt & Redmond have, the likable parental story arc that Tara & Joey have, or the bickering, dysfunctional story arc that Brooke & Scott have. They’re always there, but never at the top. The highest they’ve gotten is third, and that’s because Tara and Joey read a map wrong. I expect them to be cut short of the finals. They just haven’t been as integral to the story line of this season, and haven’t been on the top enough to convince me that they’ll make it to the finale.
3. Tara & Joey (#TeamMom&Dad)- They hit a massive bump in the road when they had their non-elimination leg, but they bounced back from that quite nicely, since LoLo and Team Fun had issues with their bikes. This should give them that little extra push and give them a shot of going into the finals.
2. Brooke & Scott (#TeamBrookeandScott)- For once, I don’t have them in last. In fact, I don’t have them in third. I have them here at number 2 because this upcoming leg looks like it’ll be mostly intellectual and brain powered tasks, unlike the physical ones that Brooke struggles with. If Brooke doesn’t have to lift anything, it’s a good day. Their edit has led us to believe that they’ll be one of the three competing in the finale, because they have been a major part of this season. As much as Brooke annoys me, Scott is great, and I think they’ll make it to the finale for those reasons.
1. Matt & Redmond (#TheBoys)- They have been consistently at the top, never stooping lower than 4th place. If they get 4th place, they go home, but they haven’t been in 4th since leg 4. The odds are in their favor.
Anything can happen on the Race, so we could even be losing the boys. But as the edit suggests, the three most prominent teams of this season that are left will probably be the three racing in the end.
PREDICTIONS:
Going Home- London & Logan

The Amazing Race S29 Power Rankings (Top 6)

1 PowerRankings101, Apr 30, 2017

Another U-turn screws another frontrunner, and we have new people topping the leaderboard this week! Let’s take a look.
6. London & Logan (#TeamLoLo)- They have been consistently safe, but never in the top few spots of the leaderboard. I think they’re starting to realize that, and they’re going to stir the pot with Liz and Mike next week. Will that pay off? I’m not so sure.
5. Brooke & Scott (#TeamBrookeandScott)- Brooke is annoying beyond belief, but Scott is getting funnier and funnier with his side glances to the camera. I don’t know whether I can’t stand watching them or love watching them. Either way, they’ll probably hang on for a few more weeks. Notice how I said “a few.”
4. Liz & Michael (#TeamLizandMike)- They’re either sweethearts or hardcore against each other. I don’t know what that means for them, so I’ll keep them right here. Not going home, not winning this leg.
3. Tara & Joey (#TeamMom&Dad)- They won two legs in a row, still placed well in this past leg. I don’t love them too much, but don’t hate them at all. They aren’t too vocal, not too annoying, not too showy, and not too threatening. They’re fine for now.
2. Matt & Redmond (#TheBoys)- These guys are still one of the only teams who has never been nervous for elimination. They’re consistently good, and should be fine for some time to come.
1. Becca & Floyd (#TeamFun)- Team Fun did a great job this week coming off of an extremely cocky showing last week. These two are a joy to watch, and while I’m still not 100% confident with them winning, this leg puts them a step up, and not having a u-turn or anything next week means that they’ll probably be fine.
We’re now getting to the point where everyone starts to become even on the playing field. But I think our top 3 teams have been very consistent, and the bottom 3 teams have had ups and downs. But Liz and Mike have won a few legs, and Brooke and Scott have been featured heavily in edits. LoLo has not.

Going Home- London & Logan
