The chefs were tested on their ability to adapt as they were challenged to cook with new ingredients AS they were already preparing their dishes. While many dishes were rather disappointing, some were able to please Chef Ramsay. It was the closest challenge yet, and the final score was a tie. Chef Damsay retasted the standout dishes from each team, belonging to Marge on the red and Tommy on the blue. Ultimately, the best dish belonged to Marge, who won the challenge for her team.
In dinner service, The Blue Kitchen had minor hiccups. However, the Red Kitchen was obviously worse with Zach pushing back appetizers, Beth sinking meat, and Marge miscommunicating on garnish. The Red Team lost, and were asked to nominate 2 for elimination.
However, at the elimination ceremony, the Red Team was unable to decide between Beth, Marge and Zach, so Chef Ramsay decided to hear from all three. In the end, it was Zach who was forced to say goodbye to his dream of becoming the Head Chef at La Repas Rose in Los Angeles and winning a quarter of a million dollars.

The chefs then head upstairs for bed. As Chef Ramsay walks up to his office, he narrates a comment on Rico’s elimination.
“Rico made it a lot farther in this competition than I thought he would. But no matter how far his drive took him, his inexperience was bound to catch up at some point.”
Chef Ramsay hangs Rico’s jacket, and his picture burns up.
The chefs will be challenged to make the best dish out of everyone left in a king of the hill challenge… but will still be tasked with working as a team. Can the teams put their egos aside or will it be every man and woman for themselves?
Then in dinner service, can both teams finally pull it together and deliver the service Chef Ramsay is hoping to see? Or will it be so disastrous that Chef Ramsay will resort to drastic measures?
I’m actually scared that Trump is gonna win in November. I do think Biden still has a decent chance of winning again, but with every news story about Trump I just feel like he’s gaining more publicity and more votes.
I’m happy that Trump is being held accountable for his crimes, but I feel like in a weird way it’s helping his campaign. I don’t understand why people would vote for someone who’s been convicted on multiple accounts but I wouldn’t put it past the people of America. I literally don’t want to see that orange clown back in office and the closer we get to November the more paranoid I get that it’s gonna happen.
The chefs were challenged to deliver a surprise breakfast service for a group of Los Angeles nurses, being told that the first team to finish all of their tickets would win the challenge. While it was close, the Blue Team was ultimately slowed down by Bart and Carter, leading to the Red Team’s eighth consecutive challenge win.
In Dinner Service, both kitchens were a disaster. Kenia screwed up the Blue Team’s appetizers, and Marge and Zach sunk on the Red Team’s entrees. Chef Ramsay eventually ejected both kitchens from service after Archie sent in a raw lamb while Carter was isolating himself, and Bella sending in a lamb not even on the ticket.
At elimination, the Red Team nominated Bella and Zach while the Blue Team nominated Kenia and Carter. In the end, it was Carter who was forced to watch his dream of becoming the Head Chef at La Repas Rose in Los Angeles and winning Hell’s Kitchen go up in flames.
However, Chef Ramsay was not finished. He then took Bella’s jacket, and announced that she would be joining the Blue Team, keeping her chance of becoming Head Chef at La Repas Rose alive.

⚪️ Chef Ramsay: One thing we need to be able to do as chefs is adapt and work with what we’re given. In today’s challenge, I want to see how well you all are at adapting. At the start of the challenge, I will unveil the first dome on each team’s table, and reveal six stunning proteins. The first chef to grab each protein must then use it as the star of the dish. Then, at certain intervals during your cooking time, I’ll unveil the remaining domes. Underneath each are six stunning ingredients, and each chef will have to grab one of them and incorporate them somehow into their dish. No two chefs on the same team should be using the same ingredients. When your time is up, I will taste each dish head to head and will award points to the best dish in each pairing. The team with the most points wins the challenge. You have 45 minutes, and I will be unveiling the proteins… NOW!

The six proteins given to each team are monkfish, bass, swordfish, veal, pork and turkey. The chefs each grab one of these proteins and attempt to incorporate the ingredients they end up with into their dishes. Eventually, they’re all ready to present to Chef Ramsay.
⏭️ First: The Battle of the Monkfish (Thammy vs. Bella)
Bella is desperate to make a good first impression on her team, but has never worked with monkfish before. Overall, her dish ends up a mess. While she was not confident in her dish at all, Thammy was overconfident and believed she would make a perfect monkfish dish due to working with it on several occasions… however, she ends up completely overcooking it.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Both of those dishes were appalling. I’m not giving points to either of you. Absolutely disgusting.

⏭️ Next: The Battle of the Bass (Beth vs. Bart)
Beth’s dish looks slightly clumsy, but is praised for having flavor. Bart’s dish is slightly undercooked and has an overwhelming amount of seasoning.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Bart… way too much fucking salt on there. It’s like you’re trying to put the bass back into the ocean. The point goes to Beth, well done.

Ty was very confident with his ingredients while Rico worked with a couple ingredients he had never used before. Despite his confidence, Ty’s dish turns out to be raw. Rico’s on the other hand, turns out to be a decent effort.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Ty, your swordfish was absolutely raw. Underwhelming. Rico, you put forth an excellent effort and you’ve earned a point for your team, well done.

Zach is not confident in his ingredients while Kenia gets everything she wants for her dish. However, both of their dishes end up being raw.

⏭️ Next: The Battle of the Pork (Marge vs. Archie)
Both Marge and Archie have never worked with their ingredients before, and are not very confident. Archie’s dish matches up to his expectations and is a mess, however Marge manage to throw off a surprisingly delicious dish.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Wow… Marge, this is an absolutely stunning dish. You claim that you haven’t worked with these ingredients before, but you’ve incorporated them into the dish so well. You’ve earned a point for your team, congratulations.

⏭️ Last: The Battle of the Turkey (Allen vs. Tommy)
Tommy was happy with the ingredients he ended up with while Allen was not happy at all. Tommy’s dish is praised for having good incorporation with his ingredients, but criticized for presentation. While Allen’s looks a little bizarre, Chef Ramsay praises it for having flavor.

The Red Team heads upstairs to discuss who should go up. They start by addressing whether or not Ty and Thammy told Marge that they were sending their fish up to the pass, to which Marge admits that she may have been wrong. After she admits this, Allen and Zach say they’re putting up Marge and Beth, with Beth going up due to her performance on meat. Beth then argues that Zach should go up in her place since he held back appetizers tonight. Marge agrees and says her nominees are Beth and Zach, with Thammy agreeing with her. Beth then says she’s voting for Marge and Zach, to which Ty agrees, thinking Zach is becoming a weak link on the team. Beth, Marge and Zach have 4 votes each.
Chef Ramsay meets with the Red Team for elimination while the Blue Team watches from the side.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Ty, has the Red Team reached a decision?
🔴 Ty: No, chef. We have not.
Chef Ramsay suddenly looks baffled and annoyed.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: No?
🔴 Ty: Chef, we are split between 3 different pairs. The same 3 people received 4 votes each and no one will budge.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: A 3 way tie? Fuck me… the Red Team’s THREE nominees then?
🔴 Ty: Beth, Marge and Zach, chef. We feel they were the chefs that ultimately threw off our communication tonight.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Okay… Beth, Marge and Zach, all three of you step forward.
Beth, Marge and Zach step forward to face Chef Ramsay.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Beth… are you a team player?
🔴 Beth: I am absolutely a team player, chef.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: So why couldn’t you work with Allen on the meat station tonight?
🔴 Beth: I had an off night, chef. That was it. Going forward, I promise you I will be more vocal with my team and I will make my presence known. I learn from my mistakes and the one thing I‘ve learned tonight is that I need to be working with my team at all times.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Yeah… that and don’t send me blue steaks.
🔴 Beth: Yes, chef.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Marge… what happened tonight?
🔴 Marge: The fish station was held back by me, tonight. I obviously could’ve communicated a lot better. It was my fault and I apologize, chef.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Why should you stay in Hell’s Kitchen?
🔴 Marge: Chef, I think the fact that we’re halfway through this competition and THIS is the first time I’ve been officially nominated for elimination speaks volumes to how consistent and talented I’ve been up to this point. Tonight was definitely my worst service, absolutely, but I truly think I have a lot of potential. I think it’d be a real shame if I walked out those doors tonight.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Zach… you told me last night you wouldn’t be up here again, and yet here you are… have you given up?
🔴 Zach: No, chef. Not even close.
⚪️ Chef Ramsay: Why do you think you should stay in Hell’s Kitchen?
🔴 Zach: This morning you said that a chef needs to be able to adapt. I feel that right now I am adapting and getting better. I did make mistakes tonight, but I bounced back. I’ve shown you that I can adapt. Therefore I feel that I can be your Head Chef.

Zach hands his jacket to Chef Ramsay, shakes his hand, and leaves Hell’s Kitchen.

The chefs then head upstairs for bed. As Chef Ramsay walks upstairs to his office, he narrates a comment on Zach’s elimination.
“Zach had the drive to take him this far, but once I sensed his drive disappearing, I knew it was time for him to drive back to his Texas Roadhouse.”
Chef Ramsay hangs Zach’s jacket, and his picture burns up.
