of a pedophile or predatory player should be the host’s job FIRST, not the players.
If I was a player, I’d now personally target the accused or quit the game after seeing the lack of action taken by a host, but it seems some people just don’t follow the same mindset. I have done reflections of my past, and I think I’ve let certain things slip by when they shouldn’t have, but I’m much more aware now.
We have Missy and Elisabeth in IOTI using the Dan situation to better themselves in the game. I think what they did is bad, but they’re playing for money and made it evident they throw morals out when a game and prize are at hand. Whatever criticism they receive post-game is warranted. Production ended up removing Dan, but could’ve removed him sooner or at least actively involved themselves to defuse the situation.
So, yes, I think some fault should be directed towards players for using a predator as a pawn in their games for a virtual $0 and self-congratulatory slap on the back, but the fact hosts are just silent about this issue and not taking a stand shows where their thoughts to this issue lie.
If you’re a host, and you don’t stand for this, why don’t you use the blogs or your VL’s to make a stance about this. Maybe you already have, and if so, thank you. Me being 15,16,17 on this site with people in their mid-20s made every other season a maze of avoiding perverts and incels who can’t get romance in their real lives. It’s not always a fun way to balance Love Island and Survivor in the same game, different series.
