bingo21 I'm a fan! It ultimately doesn't really change who may get the Idol. It's still going to be the aggressive Russell/Tony/Mike/Natalie Anderson type of player that finds them, but I think it will add an extra dimension to challenges. For me challenges are usually the least interesting part of an episode anyway, so the fact that there's going to be two storylines going on during a challenge seems like a really fun idea to me. What do you think?
Leli14 I'm skeptical, though idols are never hidden how I want them to be anyway. I like when it takes a couple of clues to find them so I'm a little disappointed that the very first clue makes it clear where the idol is in a challenge. I'm not sure on the whole different looking idols, I do like that in theory but I'd make them all look rudimentary not some perfect and others tacky because a great looking idol is obviously going to be real and be unachievable with their supplies anyway. My main concern is that this could take loads of time out of episodes and idols already suck way too much screen-time out of modern seasons.
bingo21 That's true also. I hate that they're so easy to find also. But maybe it will save time because they won't have to do that whole scene where someone is looking for the Idol until they ultimately find it JUST when they were about it give up. Instead it's just getting worked into the challenge.
Regarding the twist about making Idols look different... idk... I kind of like that. I like the strategy around the Hidden Immunity Idols, but I can also see what you mean. When we have all these great All Star players coming back, do we really need to see Keith and Savage debating whether an Idol is real or not? I don't think so. I'd rather just see them all interact and talk strategy.
