So I'm doing a Fastings game and originally it looked like almost everyone was going to be active. Then it went down to 3 people active, then 2, now I'm the only person active. It's such a boring game now.
A week from today is World Cerebral Palsy Day. As I have stated in another blog entry I have a mild form of this disability. I hope everyone supports this by raising awareness for this disability
I've decided to open up about my story of my health reasons for not being able to get onto BB. I have a disability known as mild Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. It is a brain injury that happens from near birth that causes the signals to your muscles to not work properly. Therefore my muscles get tight really easily and I don't walk quite as well as everyone else does. I have quite a crazy story growing up and I have decided to share it. Well for starters I'm a miracle child because my mom wasn't supposed to have any kids. I was 8 days late and when I was about to come out I was delayed because the doctor wasn't there. My dad was physically and mentally abusive growing up. I had a major seizure when I was a few months old. I did an odd crawl when I was a baby because I crawled on my hands and feet. If it wasnt for my mom putting me in preschool and having tests done at the time I wouldn't have had the intense physical and occupational therapy that I had and therefore would probably be much worse off than I am now. The official cause of my CP is not known. I had lots of ear infections as a baby and was hospitalized several times. I also had severe asthma at that time to the point where I had breathing treatments. I very easily could not be here today because of all that. I do have braces that I wear for work and for longer distance walking I either use a cart or crutches.
