In Boreno, Gervase was a member of the Pagong tribe and the third member of the jury after he was voted out by the Tagi 4 and Sean employing his ABC strategy. He ultimately would vote for Kelly in the FTC. Like many from the first season, he enjoyed a lot of post-show success, appearing on other reality shows and television programs before returning to normal life. He was one of the first to eat rats.
Twenty-six seasons later, he competed on Survivor 27: Survivor - Blood vs. Water, alongside his niece Marissa. Because of his showboating, his niece was voted out day 3. Despite Marissa leaving early, he managed to form tight alliances with others who lost loved ones early, particularly Tyson. The two were incredibly loyal, Tyson even using his idol on Gervase. The two plus Monica made it the the final tribal council. Gervase received zero votes and got third, while Tyson won.
