They are the same thing and both kinda lame honestly. Koga’s team lacks any diversity (in Yellow version he literally had 3 venonats and venomoth) at least Janine was a little better. Unfortunately since Koga was an elite 4 member it seemed a little pointless to have Janine as another poison type trainer cause why??? And let’s be real there is a reason the evil team has traditionally been poison type centered and poison is rarely used in gyms/elite 4s, because up until gen 6 the type was essentially useless.
