Wallace and Juan face a problem that really shouldn’t happen multiple times in the series. Seriously there is absolutely no point in having the 8th gym leader and league champion use the same type yet here we are with this being the 2nd time it has happened. Other than that Juan is not really much of a challenge at all when you aren’t facing Wallace’s iconic Milotic. And even then Wallace’s team goes pretty fast too and the only issue rises from Milotic who will never die. Also they really should have NEVER used a water type gym in gen 3 especially not after you just spend like 67493450 hours surfing your life away.
