Next, I ran into a Gligar, and tried to grind Bolt against it. However, it used Poison Sting and got the poison. Bolt stayed in for a few turns, but couldn't finish it. I brought in KFC, which also got poisoned, and couldn't quite finish the Gligar. I brought in Shamuu to finish it.
As I was going to the Pokemon Center, I realized I had no antidotes and had only one potion. Bolt was at 1 HP, and I used the potion on it. (KFC was only at 4 HP) KFC made it to the counter of the Pokemon Center with 1 HP left.
I ran into a Camperupt while almost finished grinding with Bolt, who had gotten considerably stronger. I knew Camerupt had a type advantage, but I'd fought multiple, and none had ever used a ground-type move. Everything changed in an instant. I see the word "Magnitude" and begin to freak out. It was a magnitude 8, and Bolt's health bar vanished before my eyes, being the victim of a critical hit. Shamuu came out and avenged Bolt's life.

Then, I went to face Sissy. He had a Bulbasaur, which KFC easily took out, and a Feebass, which got crushed by Shamuu. Next, I went into Viridian Forest and nothing really worth noting happened, except for the fact that Shamuu faced off against a Forretress which self destructed. Shamuu held on with almost half of it's health. (Shamuu is pretty much a baller) B)
In the gym battle against Brock, his first Pokemon was no problem at all. The only thing standing between me and my first badge was a Machoke. Shamuu was ready to destroy it, and had almost finished it when the unexpected occurred. The Machoke hit with Low Kick, and Shamuu being almost 900 pounds wasn't working in it's favor. A critical hit took another one of my Pokemon, and this marks the first time I've ever lost my starter in a Nuzlocke where the starter wasn't in the final battle of my playthrough.
