Days 7 and 8, #10410 Oct 22, 2009
Somehow my score of 928 in DOND on Day 6 prevented me from being nominated on Day 7 (meaning 6 of 9 other people scored below 928...wow!). I talked to my ally and we agreed that getting Oedipus out would be the best move for both of us. He hadn't yet been nominated, has an extremely high level, and just proved to be too big of a threat.

The competition was Match 3 and I was decently confident in my score to save me. Day 8 came around and (1) Oedipus was evicted (2) I wasn't nominated.

So here I am on Day 8, not nominated, meaning I'm at least to the final 8. We have two, potentially three, inactives, which is really slowing the game down. At the same time, however, they are keeping me safe and out of the nomination slots. We'll have to see how this eviction goes.

As for the competition, it was Numbers, possibly my favorite game (though I have never played WOF. I'm confident that my score will keep me out of nominations, especially with the inactives we have.

Wish me luck in my first game!

Days 5 and 6, #10410 Oct 21, 2009
For Day 5, my score was once again enough to keep me safe from being nominated. I was able to get out who I saw as my biggest threat, JeffW, because of his experience and color level. I did reasonably well in Match 3, even though I had never played it before.

Day 6 came and I found myself safe because of Match 3. I decided to go for DaLuEg because he seemed to have an alliance with everyone and he hadn't talked to me in multiple "days." Somehow, DaLuEg ended up being voted out, though the vote was close (he had 13 out of 15-13-9-7-2-2). The competition was DOND, which I thought I would need at least 50,000 to keep me safe. I had a 0% bonus, which was scary enough. I then eliminated huge amounts right away but kept playing, eliminating more huge amounts.

After 15 cases opened, only 5,000 remained on the right side. I kept playing until I got down to 3 cases, and finally just took the 928 deal, thinking I would still be nominated on Day 7.

Now on Day 7, I'm somehow not nominated, even with a dismal score of 928. We'll have to see how this day pans out and who I will place my vote for, but I'm very happy to see that I will at least be getting 9th place.

Days 4 and 5, #10410 Oct 21, 2009
Day 4-Once again, my top choice was eliminated. That must mean I am doing something right. My score on DOND was enough to keep me from being nominated on Day 5, so I'm very happy about that.

As for who to eliminate on Day 5, I'm really not sure. I think I have found an ally, which is always encouraging. Luckily, they are not up for elimination, so I know that we will both make the final 12. I will probably listen to my ally this round, since I honestly have no clue this round.

Adding to my confusion, I need to play Match 3 in order to prevent my nomination on Day 6. I've never played before, which could lead to a less-than-stellar score. We'll just have to see.

Wish me luck in my first game!

Day 3, #10410 Oct 20, 2009
Day 3's competition was the numbers game. I'd never played before, so I was thrilled to get a score of 450. That kept me safe from nominations on Day 4. So far I haven't been nominated yet! Hopefully that can continue.

As for day 3 evictions, deidara was evicted, my number 1 choice. She simply had too much experience for me, plus I hadn't really talked to her. We'll have to see how Day 4 turns out, since the competition is DOND. Ugh.

Days 1 and 2 Oct 19, 2009
Well, days 1 and 2 in game 10410 have come and gone. Day 1 was DOND, and I actually got a pretty decent score. I was happy to see I was safe on Day 2.

With Day 2, my first voting experience came. I took a shot in the dark and my first pick was evicted, so I guess that's good news. The challenge was DOND again, and it was a bit scary when after the first 11 picks I only had $400,000 remaining for any amount over $25,000. I kept gambling until there were 5 cases left, and then took the $32,000 bribe. JeffW claims he got $7 and was safe though, so maybe I shouldn't have been too worried.

Anyway, I'm still learning the ropes, but I hope to catch on quickly. Day 3 update will come tomorrow morning with Day 4 the night after that. Wish me luck!
