SAMOA
What happened in this season was absolutely amazing and extraordinary. 4 in one tribe, and 8 in the other. But the 4 from Foa Foa managed to pull it off and gain control. That is why I watch Survivor. Not for the basics Ulonging with one tribe staying loyal and voting off one by one the other tribe. That is boring.
And mixed with drama (the Ben thing, Russel Hantz, Shambo being on the out, Laura being hated), idol plays and Shambo, how can this season not be in the Top 10 ?
Yeah, post merge was fucking unbelievable, and the best thing is that pre-merge didn't even sucked. I love when always the same tribe loses, It's so fun to see them scramble and lose everyone while the other get cocky. The camp life/weather was also very fun.
And even if you hate Russell (not a fan of him personal wise), you have to just love this season anyway and how it played out. Just when Jeff had to exclude someone from a challenge (which was awesome btw), I knew that this season was going to be game changing.
A lot of time, the twists sucks, but in this season, putting someone on the other tribe to watch the other tribe was a great idea. It changed the WHOLE GAME when Shambo was able to visit Foa Foa, and It was hilarious when It was Yasmin.
Yeah Russell was awful, but the other on Foa Foa were nicer so it balanced. Mick is so good looking and Nathalie White is very cute and smart. Fuck you Russell, I don't think Nathalie was undeserving of her win. She played a good social game.
But I have to admit one thing about this season : the cast could have been better. We didn't really felt close to the Galu castaways except Shambo, and Jaison on Foa Foa was annoying.

Russell hantz was robbed because of a bitter jury he played the best game in history and revolutionized game play. Natalie and mick had no power and would not have mad final 3 if russell ha not wanted them there
IMO Russell deserved to win this season but because he was such an asshole to people it cost him the win. Natalie did deserve her win she let Russell bathe in blood and did what he asked so it made her look like the next popular option with jury votes as she knew Ulong made up the majority of the jury which was very smart. I have to say my favourite was Laura though, she was a beast.
Also forgot to mention people can say Natalie and Mick played very similar games but Natalie was very clever because she established personal relationships with the Ulong tribe at the merge and got to know them so they would vote for her over Mick and Russell.

Um... A season with 0 character development that was simply a trailer for HvV... No thanks...
The editing was the worst ever by far, with only Caramoan coming even remotely close. I loved this season (I was naive) when I first watched it, but it does not do well at all on a rewatch, especially if you're not a Russell fan (or an Idol fan for that matter which dominated 95% of screen time). The amount of screen time he received was honestly insulting and disgusting tbh.
