1930's HOLLYWOODLAND SIGN
Miranda Trace's great grandmother, Laurianne Mason is 23 years of age. Her hair was just like any other actress. Short. Curled. Blonde. She is wearing a white dress. She looks like Marilyn Monroe. Except : before Marilyn Monroe was famous.
Miranda is with Link Lane, he was super irrelevant as an actor but super relevant in Miranda's life. And heart.
"I best tell you something." Miranda says with a heavy southern accent.
"what? You love me, right?" Link asks.
"There's someone else. More successful. Famous. Rich... I don't know..."
"You.... Love... YOU LOVE SOMEONE ELSE?!" He slaps her and she falls down.
"Stop... Stop... I'm pregnant."
He grabs her blouse and asks "Who's baby?"
"yours...."
"If you see him I'll kill you... After you have the baby of course. But I'll kill you."
Link walks away. Laurianne cries and holds her stomach. Laurianne looks at the Hollywoodland sign and prays.
PRESENT DAY HOLLYWOOD :
A Korean surgeon rushes into her hospital called "HOLLYWOOD HOSPITAL" with a pumpkin ice coffee in hand. "sorry, I am late."
A man says "you're always late Chris.'
Christina says "Well, it's hard being a mom, a surgeon, and a 43 year old woman."
The (fat and bald) man says "don't throw the mom card in my face. I've done my research. A miscarriage and an abortion later, you decide to have a kid. Now, a teenager."
Christina gets choked up and says "why'd you search me?"
"Company orders. Bye.'
She walks past him and goes to work. There is a terribly disfigured lady. Her leg broken, along with both her arms. Her other leg cut up.
"how did this happen?" Christina asks, looking at the almost unrecognizable body (from what she's seen from pictures of this beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes. Her eyes are blood red and her face looks like she has had an allergic reaction and got stung by a million wasps.
"No one knows..." Someone explains. Christina stopped listening she was too in awe at the horrifying look of the woman.
She looks at a new picture of "Bethany" and notices something terrifying.
The picture was Bethany (the patient) was hiking in some Forrest. In the woods there was a tall (7-8 feet tall) skinny man with 5-8 arms and is wearing a suit. From what she sees his face is white and blank. "This woman was being stalked." She keeps flipping through these pictures her friend must have took of her. Every other (or so) pictures have the same man. "This man... Is like nothing I've ever seen before. He is... Weird." She shows her co-workers the pictures. None of them think much of it. They think it's some type of prank.
Christina says "this woman is in a coma, I don't think we can help it. I'm going to take a day off I need a break."
She walks home and goes straight to her laptop. She puts in the details off Bethany's stalker and a man name "The Slender Man" comes up.
He is an urban legend. He usually kills kids or stalks people paranoid of his existence. They made a game about him that is wildly popular, now. Murder cases started because of him. He is a phenomenon and now is the reason Christina is now, terrified.
IN A NEW THEATRE IN HOLLYWOOD :
A beautiful 24 year old woman with curly blonde hair, portraying, Marilyn Monroe and is singing () for a new musical called "Hollywoodland and Marilyn" after her performance everyone in the audience is on their feet, chanting "JANET, JANET, JANET."
It's funny to think this is her first roll in years. She used to be big then, like Jake, she turned irrelevant, but unlike Jake, Janet's career is now going forward.
Janet goes too her dressing room and gets a knock on her door. She opens it "Hello." Her voice is high and happy.
It is Miranda again.
1930'S HOLLYWOODLAND :
Laurianne knocks on a celebrity's door. Laurianne cries "JERRY. PLEASE ANSWER!"
A 35 year old man answers the door, naked except with a towel around his waist. He was the heartthrob. Because he was hot, brown hair, brown eyes, a little facial hair. Hot body. Great ass.
Laurianne cries "He threatened me... And my baby. I need you." She made out with him then had sex.
Little did she know... Link saw it all.
