âGood morning Gorebrook, this is Sasha Noells, back with another Gorebrook Slasher updateâŠthis wind surely is ruining my hairâ Sasha announces, getting visibly frustrated but concealing with a forced wide smile. âThe Gorebrook Slasher has struck once again, this time it was 18 year old local Rinnie Fischer, who was viciously attacked at the beach late last night. We are dealing with a serial killer here folks. Stay safe Gorebrook, Sasha Noells, signing outâÂ
The cameras cut. âBashed in the head with a rock? Stupid girl being alone at nightâ Sasha Noells expressed.Â

âHello? Sasha Noells speaking?â
âHow do you think youâre going to die? Stabbing? Gunshot?â
âOld age. If this is who I believe I am speaking to, I would love an interview!âÂ
âOver your dead bodyâ
âSweetie, thatâs just my heartâ
Sasha hangs up the phone.
âThey wouldn't try it, no one messes with Sasha Noellsâ Sasha says, before lighting up a cigarette.
A car drives past, in it is Joelle Auclair, coming home from the supermarket. The radio is on and Joelle is pouring her emotions into a solo performance of David Bowieâs âLife on Marsâ.
Joelle returns to her home and steps up to her patio. The door is unlocked. âWhiskers? Did you get out?â Joelle asked cautiously. A faint meow is heard, because a cat hisses.
âWhiskers? Mittens?â Joelle asks.Â
The phone rings in her pocket. Joelle walks to her retro 60âs style kitchen and puts the bags down, before answering.
*RINGING: UNKNOWN NUMBER*
âThis is Joelle speaking.â
âWhatâs your favourite scary movie?â
âOoh, letâs seeâŠâ Joelle thinks for a moment âI love Golden Girls, I am not really a scary movie person, I get scared someone will hurt me or my cats! Who am I on the phone with?â
âA friend, whatâs your favourite SCARY movie?â
âFriday the 13th is a lovely one, that Jason boy loves his mother!â
âThe hockey mask wearing psycho who slaughters teenage camp counsellors?â
âI always look away at the scary bits. I donât know who this is but you sure are interesting to talk to!â
âHow sweet. Itâs unfortunate Iâll have to kill you nowâ
âPardon? Say that last part ag-â
Ghostface bursts open the kitchen door. Joelle screams and backs slowly into the corner. Ghostface walks towards Joelle, throwing their knife spinning into the air and catching it. âPlease! I havenât done anything wrong!â Joelle cries out as she crawls into a ball with her arms protecting her head. Ghostface kicks her in the side. Joelle yelps in pain. âPlease donât kill me!â Joelle pleads, tears rolling down her face. A cat trots up and licks her face. âGO MITTENS!â Joelle yells. Ghostface looks around the kitchen, unplugging the fridge before toppling it over Joelle. Mittens jumps away as the fridge crashesâŠ
Scene Two
Brooklyn Lane lays on her bed, looking at her text messages. From under the covers, Wren appears. âIâm sorry baby, Iâm just worried for Krista''. Wren is visibly angry when he sees her on her phone. âCould you put that down for just a second?â Wren criticised. Brooklyn sighs before putting her phone down. âLife has just been⊠so hard on me. Chelsea was murdered. That stupid new Sheriff thinks it was Krista when I know she isnât smart enough to kill anyone! She would sleep with Chelseaâs dad before sheâd kill him. You literally gave me head for an hour and nothing. Why is this killer punishing me?â Brooklyn groans. Wren looks at Brooklyn in confusion. âWhy would this killer be targeting you?â He asked. âDuh, Iâm BROOKLYN. LANE. Iâm the smartest and hottest girl in this town and someone is super jealous⊠I kinda wanna just drink my problems awayâ Brooklyn adds. Wren doesnât answer, heâs too busy thinking about kissing Coco. âFuck it, Iâm throwing a party. For Chelsea'' Brooklyn announces. Wren snaps out of his fantasy. âOh, okay. I thought since you have the house to yourself for the next week we could have us time?â Wren asked. âBabe, we will, just wanna have some fun tonight. Lemme text some people, you invite people too my friends keep fucking dying so the guest list might be shortâ Brooklyn sighs.Â
Scene Three
Minerva sits in the interrogation room, biting her nails. Sheriff Dancer enters. âIâve brought you in so I could have you answer a few questionsâ. He spoke softly. Minerva sighed. Sheriff Dancer sat down, and pulled out photos, and slid them to Minerva. She stared at the photos, before picking them up. The photos of Minerva and Rinnie in the car. Sheriff Dancer began, âCan you explain what these photos are about?â. Minervaâs throat went dry. âRinnie called me last night angry about the photos someone took of us. Rinnie and I have been romantic for about a month now, keeping our relationship private. She accused me, and argued with me when she didnât believe me when I said I had no idea what they were aboutâ. She began to tear up. âShe was self obsessed, but no one saw the real Rinnie, she was sweet and gentle. She craved attention, her dad hit her as a child and her mum was too drugged up to notice. I gave her tarot readings. Usually the cards say peopleâs futures will get better. Every Time, the future part was a strange card, bad luck usuallyâ Minerva choked up. âI miss herâ. Minerva was still staring at the photos.Â
âThank you Minerva. These were found at the crime scene. I will need you to stay here, since this evidence does point you as a suspect, but also for your safetyâ Sheriff Dancer admitted. Minerva looked at him for the first time since she first saw the photos. âWhat? Why? I didnât kill Rinnie? Or Chelsea?â Minerva sniffled. âAs I said. I need to get to the bottom of this. This evidence does put you as a suspect, but also a potential targetâ, The Sheriff stated with caution in his voice..Â
Sheriff Dancer opened a cell, and Minerva stepped inside. âHey Minervaâ Krista smiled, happy to see a familiar face. â..hiâ Minerva sniffled, a tear rolling down her face. Sheriff Dancer walked away. âWhatâs going on? What happened?â Krista asked. âRinnie died, and Coach Jonâ Minerva revealed. Krista gasped. âOh my god! We really have a serial killer in Gorebrookâ Krista declared. âIt appears soâ, Minerva agreed.
Sheriff Dancer returns to his office and locks the door before sitting down in his chair and placing his hat on the desk. He looks at the photo frame of himself from a few years back, holding a beer can with his friend Glenn Banks. There is a knock at the door. âNot nowâ, he shouts to his coworker. âThe new plaque has arrived, sirâ the coworker reports. Sheriff Dancer walks to the door and unlocks it, before politely taking the plaque and closing the door. He locks the door, sits back down and looks at the engravement. âSheriff Logan Dancerâ. Logan sniffles, before reaching for the desk drawer, and opening it. He grabs the whiskey bottle and a glass, and pours himself a drink. âIâll get the man Glenn, that fucker will rot in hellâ Logan announces, before finishing his drink in one gulp.Â
Scene Four
Nick and Isla sit on a picnic blanket in the park. Nick smiles as he bites into his homemade sandwich. âWhat sandwich is that?â Isla asks, stomach grumbling. âBLT babe, wanna bite?â Nick replies with food in his mouth, holding the sandwich with a big bite taken out of it. âEat, then talk. But yesâ Isla answers, before chomping down on the sandwich. Nick swallows. âThis whole.. serial killer thing. Iâm scaredâ Nick admits. Isla rests her head on his shoulder, before handing him the sandwich. âMe too. I donât even know who could do this? Why, and why target Coco?â Isla wonders.Â
*TEXT RECEIVED*
âBrooklynâs throwing a party, you and Isla should come!â -Otis
Nick and Isla read the text message together. âA party at Brooklynâs place? Why would she even want us?â Nick asks. âDid you say a party at Brooklynâs?â a voice says. Isla turns to see Emily Smith standing behind them. Nick looks and jumps, the sandwich falling on the blanket. Emily giggles, âSorry for bothering, but can I come?â Emily asks politely. Nick frowns. âSureâ he hesitated. âOh YAY!â Emily beams. âI need to go home and make sure I look proper for this party!â Emily smiles, before walking away.
âThat girl scares meâ, Nick admits. âDonât worry, she scares me tooâŠ.you think sheâs the killer?â Isla asks. âI feel like she is, but because Iâm saying she is, she isnâtâŠ.does that make sense?â Nick turns his head to Isla. âI guess?â Isla smiles before sharing a kiss.Â
In the distance, Emily frowns as she sees the happy couple kissing. âSinners, theyâll pay!â.
Scene Five
Brooklyn opens the door, and invites her first few guests in. Stacey and Lacey enter. âYouâre a few mins early, just make yourselves comfortableâ Brooklyn smiles. Wren walks over in a nice button up shirt to Lacey. âLace, how have you been?â he asked. âGood, just keep seeing people I know die, so like, kinda shitâ Lacey admits. Wren and Brooklyn exchange glances. âYour house is nice thoughâ Stacey admits, trying to lighten the mood. Another knock at the door, this time Coco, Claire, Otis, Wes and Shane arrive. âHey guys!â Stacey yells and hugs her friends. âShe didnât hug me!â Brooklyn mutters under her breath. Wren smiles when he sees Coco. âHey Cocoâ Wren smiled and waved. Coco did an awkward wave back, before turning to Claire. âWren probably just wants to hook up with me, man slutâ Coco grunted, and rolled his eyes.Â
Wes and Shane walked away together, pouring themselves alcohol. âYou think itâs a safe or dumb idea for us to be here?â Shane asked. âI canât tell. On one hand, we are with a lot of people, so we canât be killed by the killer, since I doubt they attack people in groups. However if people start going off in places by themselves and splitting off, thatâs really badâ Wes answered and took a shot.Â
Brooklyn answers the door again, Nick, Isla and Hoop arrive together. Otis hugs Hoop âI thought from the injury that hugging would hurt you?â Hoop wondered. âNah itâs healed up quite well, I even went jogging this morning!â Otis exclaimed. âThatâs awesome man!â Hoop cheered.Â
Nick and Isla sat with Coco and Claire. âItâs been a while since weâve heard from the killerâ, Coco stated. âMaybe this shit is all over? But I will miss you having movie nights with meâ Claire admitted. âGirl Iâm down to watch movies with you anytime!â Coco exclaimed. Nick looked around the room, the modern home Brooklyn and her parents live in with a large living room, many rooms for anyone to be lurking around in, and the basement stairs he noticed while he found his way to the living room with everyone else. Nick shivered, before joining the conversation. â-and she was right behind us! Right babe?â Isla asked. âUh, yeahâ Nick hesitated.Â
Brooklyn opens the door and Oliver walks in. âHey thanks for inviting me Brooklynâ Oliver said shyly. âOf course, Coco and his friends are in the living room!â Brooklyn smiled, Oliver walked away and Wren came up next to her. âUh, why did you invite him?â Wren asked. âFor drama, Coco and Oliver broke up a few weeks ago, if they hook up Iâm so sharing that aroundâ Brooklyn beamed, and a big smile formed on her face. Wren frowned.
Suddenly the front door knocks loudly, startling Wren and Brooklyn. They exchange glances before Brooklyn slowly reaches for the door handle..
..and opens it to find Emily. âEmily what the fuck are doing here, and also what the fuck are you wearing?â Brooklyn questioned. Emily is wearing a gown with her hair in a dramatic yet tasteful updo. âI heard there was a party!â Emily smiled, and did a spin. âAm I early? You barely look dressed, you almost look like a whore!â Emily stated. âBitch I am a whore, now go away bible thumper, stupid mormon!â Brooklyn snapped and slammed the door shut. â...but Iâm christian!â Emily sighed, and walked away. âThat was kinda harsh babeâ Wren stated. âDoes it look like we are going to Sunday service Wren! No! We are here to celebrate Chelseaâs life, and so these nerds can figure out who the killer is so I can unmask them and be famous!â Brooklyn snapped.Â
An hour later, people are playing drinking games and the music is pumping. Wren is in the bathroom. Meanwhile Coco is walking down a hallway when Oliver bumps into him. âHey Oli, uh I mean Oliverâ Coco said awkwardly. âHey Coco, enjoying the party?â he gulped. âThis alcohol is good and itâs nice to catch up with people, so yeah Iâm having fun!â Coco admitted. âThatâs good..can I talk to you, alone?â Oliver asked. Coco looked into his ex boyfriendâs eyes. âSureâ Coco said, and grabbed his hand.Â
Wren looked in the mirror. âYou got this Wren. Just tell Coco you like him!â Wren splashed water on his face before drying himself off. Wren opened the bathroom door, and saw down the hallway Coco holding Oliverâs hand, opening a bedroom door and closing it behind them. Wren stood there in shock, before walking back into the bathroom to cry.

Brooklyn looked at her phone buzzing while she was dancing with others around the house. âUgh this better not be my dadâ Brooklyn scoffed as she walked downstairs to the basement so she could hear, closing the door behind her. Brooklyn saw the unknown number and the colour drained from her face.
âHello?â
âHello Brooklyn, whatâs your favourite scary movie?â
âUgh, literally leave me alone! Youâre so obsessed with me. Like why are you killing people for me?â
âTsk tsk. Silly Brooklynâ
âWhat? Itâs clear youâre killing my friends because of me, like Iâm your sick prize or something, but why?â
âBrooklyn, you arenât the main character in this movieâ
âBitch, I radiate the main character energy!â
âChelsea thought she was too before she got the cutâ
Brooklyn froze.
âLeave me alone!âÂ
âOkay, but you should've locked the doorsâ
âWhy? You're gonna come get me?â
âNo, but your boyfriend Wren is alone right now. Would be a shame if I sliced him groin to chin!â
Brooklyn freaked out. Suddenly the basement lights went out.
âWhat the fuck?â
Brooklyn puts her phoneâs flashlight on and as she does so, she hears the sound of metal clanging against the wall.
âHello?â
Brooklyn backs into a corner in the basement, trying to see if anyones down with her. After a minute of frantically moving the flashlight around and not seeing any danger, she sees the Ghostface mask right in front of the light.Â
Brooklyn screams and drops her phone. The phoneâs torch is still on, making the basement dimly lit. Ghostface stabs her in the forearm as Brooklyn screams in pain and punches Ghostface in the stomach with her uninjured arm. She is able to run to the bottom of the stairs before Ghostface catches up to her. Brooklyn frantically tries to scramble up the stairs. âSOMEONE HELP ME!â Brooklyn cries out.
Coco and Oliver are seen making out in Brooklynâs bedroom. âI hope she doesnât find out weâre in here!â Oliver laughs, before continuing.Â
Ghostface is able to grab her foot and yank her forcefully to the ground. Brooklynâs chin hits a stair as Ghostface drags her down the stairs. âHELP! HELP! THE KILLER IS HERE!â
Wes and Shane hold Isla as she is upside down, drinking from a beer keg. âCHUG! CHUG! CHUG!â.
Brooklyn is dragged to the bottom before being flipped over. A shadow on the wall illuminates the figure of Ghostface who is straddling Brooklyn. They raise their knife before plunging it into her chest. Ghostface sharply yanks the knife from Brooklynâs chest as she coughs up blood. Ghostface continues stabbing Brooklyn as she cries out in pain, her arm trying to reach for the basement door handle, before collapsing to the floorâŠ
Scene Six
âItâs been ages since she took that phone callâ Stacey mentions to Lacey, who is sitting in the kitchen. âProbably with Wrenâ Lacey replies. Wren walks in. âDid someone say Brooklyn? Do you know where she is?â Wren asks. Stacey and Lacey exchange glances.Â
The twins split up and search everywhere for Brooklyn. Lacey opens the basement door. The room is weirdly lit. Lacey switches the light on and screams. Brooklynâs body lays, blood splattered everywhere and ribcage torn open. Brooklynâs soulless eyes stare at Lacey, pain in her face. Lacey runs out of the basement and throws up. Claire is by the hallway and notices. âWhatâs going on?â Claire asks Lacey. âBROOKLYN. SHEâS DEAD!â Lacey cries out.Â
*RINGING: UNKNOWN NUMBER*
Wren looks at his phone which is connected to the bluetooth speaker, and answers it.
âWho is this?â
âItâs not really who I am, itâs more where am I?â
The voice echoed throughout the house from the speaker.
âIâm hiding in this house, come find me if you dare. However, you may be cut from my movie!â
Ghostface hangs up the phone.
The house went silent. âWhere is everyone?â Wes asked. Only Shane, Nick, Isla, Wren, Lacey, Stacey and Claire were in the living room.
âWhere is Coco?â Claire asked and ran upstairs. âThe killer is in the house, Iâm doing the smart thing and getting the fuck out of hereâ Shane said cautiously, and ran to the front door. Shane opened the front door, and Ghostface was standing there. Ghostface stabbed him in the gut before running off. âOh my god! Call an ambulance!â Wes cried out as he held his dying friend, Wren quickly dialling 911. âFuck thisâ Lacey yelled, before grabbing Staceyâs arm. âWe are getting out of this fucking town!â She said, forcefully pulling Stacey towards the door. âLACEY STOP!â Stacey shouted and shoved Lacey. âWe canât stay here, Stace! This psycho is after us and we need to get out of town. If we donât go now, we are both going to die!â Lacey shouted. Stacey looked into her sisterâs eyes. For the first time ever, she saw her sister was scared. âOkayâ Stacey said softly, making her decision. Otis and Hoop arrived together from the hallway as the twins ran to their car and drove out of the driveway.Â
âCOCO!â Claire shouted angrily. Coco and Oliver were in bed together. âYouâre kidding me? With him? I thought you knew better!â Claire yelled. Coco got out of bed and put their clothes on before quickly running out the bedroom door with Claire. âI am so pissed off with you itâs not even funny. Iâm going to go crazy. They killed Brooklyn, we need to get out of here now!â Claire added. Coco felt guilty. âHoly shitâ Coco responded, before adding âWe need to get Oli too!â. âOLI? Donât call that prick Oli, he is your ex boyfriend who was horrible to you. Screw him, oh wait, you already did!â Claire yelled. Claire and Coco saw Shane in Wesâ arms. Isla was crying into Nickâs arms with the chaos that happened. âIâll stay with Shane, everyone else goâ Wes sobbed. âNo, we need to make sure the killer is really goneâ, Wren added. Coco and Claire climbed into Claireâs car and drove to Claireâs house. Nick and Isla left together, while Otis, Hoop and Oliver left in separate cars, leaving just Wes, Wren and Shane together.
Scene Seven
Lacey was speeding down the highway, Stacey holding onto the carâs grab handle nervously. âPlease drive slower!â Stacey warned. âNo Stace, Iâm done. No more Gorebrook. No more death. No more fucking serial killerâ Lacey snapped, eyes fixated on the road. âWhere are we going to go when we leave Gorebrook?â Stacey asked, trying to logically plan out the sisterâs next move. âI donât fucking know Stace, but we canât stay there, we arenât safe there anymoreâ Lacey snapped back again. âLetâs go to Pinehaven and stay at the cheapest motel. Tomorrow we can figure something outâ Lacey added. Stacey sobbed. She felt guilty leaving her friends to potentially die. âSurvival of the fittest sis. My friends are mostly dead, or in jail being framed right now. I donât want the same fateâ Lacey admitted.Â
Stacey and Lacey stopped at a railroad crossing. A train was incoming so they waited. Lacey was tapping her thumb on the steering wheel impatiently. Stacey looked around, not seeing anything in the dark. The car headlights shone at the train as it zoomed past. Stacey saw a flash of white from the other side of the road, each time there was a gap in between train carts. âDo you see that?â Stacey asked, staring. The flash of white disappeared when the final cart zipped past. âYouâre just delusional Stace, thereâs no way the killer would be-â
A hunting knife pierced through the top of the car roof through Laceyâs skull. Stacey screamed, quickly unbuckling herself and exiting the car. She fell to the ground and crawled backwards away from the car. Ghostface was on top of the car, pulling a knife from the roof, before looking at her. âNO! Please no!â Stacey cried out and got to her feet, quickly running back towards Gorebrook. Ghostface unbuckles Laceyâs body and drags it to the ground, before climbing in. Stacey sprinted down the highway. Ghostface went in reverse and did a U-turn, hitting Laceyâs body and hearing a SPLAT as they drove back to Gorebrook to catch their prey. Stacey looked behind and saw Laceyâs head squashed against the road, Ghostface speeding towards her. Stacey quickly ran into the woods so they would have to chase her on foot. Ghostface sped to the trees where they last saw Stacey, before exiting the vehicle and walking into the woods, hunting knife dripping in blood.
