The boys alliance has woken up for the day and has decided to split up in 2 groups of 3 to search for the 2 remaining girls in the games. The first group, consisting of Mace, Jay and Rommel, are walking toward the volcano while the second group consisting of Bruce, Elijah and Tyler are walking away from it.
Mace, Jay and Rommel are having a chat while they search.
Jay: So... what’s gonna happen when it’s down to just the boys?
Mace: Then let the best man win.
Rommel looks nervously at the two careers he is with.
Rommel: Uh... what’s that?
Rommel points to an open door leading into a dimly lit passageway.
Mace: I don’t know... but we should be cautious. Make sure you’re both ready to attack in case something happens.
All three boys take out a weapon and carefully head inside.
After a few minutes... they find their way into the control room.
There, they find the panel at the end of the room, as well as a broken window behind it.
Rommel is curiously looking at the panel of buttons, notably the circle of green buttons with 2 red buttons randomly in the middle.
Rommel: What’s this?
Rommel decides to push one of the green buttons.
-The Fires of Hell-
Fern has been walking in another part of the arena. She is about to make her way across a bridge when she turns around to talk to someone else.
Fern: Are you coming?
Omen then runs up to her.
Omen: Yes, please just give me a minute!
Fern: We don’t have a minute. We need to keep moving at all times. If you aren’t up for that, I could always just abandon you...
Omen: NO! I’ll— I’ll try to hurry up.
Fern then begin walking on the bridge, with Omen following behind her. Fern is walking across just fine, but Omen is nervously looking at the lava below.
Omen: That... that’s pretty high...
Fern: Oh relax! This bridge is gonna hold.
Omen begins praying.
Fern is about halfway across the bridge when...
Omen: Do you... do you feel that?
They feel the bridge rumbling.
Fern: Oh shit... it’s another earthquake!
Fern then runs across the rest of the bridge.
Fern: Cmon, hurry!
Omen then attempts to run, but ends up tripping. He stumbles to get back up, but Fern notices the other side of the bridge is shifting to the right very quickly.
She sees that the rope supporting the bridge is beginning to snap.
Fern: HURRY!
Omen stumbles to his feet, but as he begins running again, the ropes suddenly snap. The bridge falls into the lava, Omen on top of it.
Fern sees Omen desperately reach out to her before being submerged completely into the lava.
BOOM!
Fern, still seeing the ground move, tries not to think about Omen’s death and runs away from the earthquake.
She runs so far... she doesn’t notice someone in her way as she suddenly crashes into them.
She and the mystery person fall to the ground.
Fern then sees that she is staring face to face with the girl from District 12, Isla.
Fern quickly gets to her feet and prepares a spear to fight.
Suddenly, another person jumps in front of her. Fern makes out the face of the boy from District 3, Chris.
Chris: NO!
Fern attempts to throw a spear at him, but Chris quickly grabs it out of reflex. It’s actually easy, considering he and Fern are extremely close to each other.
Chris then uses Fern’s spear to sweep Ferns legs and knock her to the ground.
Chris: We’re not gonna fight!
Isla has gotten up from the ground.
Isla: We were actually gonna look for you?
Fern: You’ve got another thing coming if you think you can kill me—
Isla: We don’t wanna kill you! You and I are the only girls left!
Fern looks a little less worried.
Fern: W-what?
Chris: You and Isla are the only girls left alive! There’s an alliance out there who is only targeting women. We heard a cannon a minute ago and was worried they had gotten to you—
Fern: That was my district partner. There was an earthquake... he didn’t make it.
Isla and Chris look at each other.
Isla: So that means...
Chris: It’s just you two girls, and that alliance. I think I’m the only boy left who isn’t a part of it.
Fern: Wait, but... that would mean—
Isla: Yes, there are 6 boys in the alliance that want to kill both of us!
Chris: I’m gonna make sure that doesn’t happen! They aren’t gonna kill either of you.
Isla: You know... we could really use your help.
Fern is silent. She doesn’t know what to do.
Suddenly... she sees something falling from the sky.
Fern: Hey... what’s that?
Chris and Isla look up and see something falling from the sky.
It’s a sponsor gift!
Chris is the one to grab it, and then sees the note on top.
Chris: Isla, it’s for you!
Isla then takes the note and reads it.
“I don’t know if you know how to use these, but I thought they would come in handy for you at some point. I know exactly how it feels to be hunted by an alliance of the opposite sex... and I’m rooting for you!
-Anonymous”
Isla then opens the gift.
Isla: He gave us axes! We could definitely use these, all three of us!
Isla then hands an axe to Chris, and then attempts to hand one to Fern, who has gotten back to her feet.
Fern debates with herself on whether to take it, until...
She hears two voices in the distance.
Fern: Someone’s coming!
Isla and Chris hear the voices too.
Isla: Hide!
All three of them decide to hide behind the same tree. They then look at the faces of Elijah and Tyler.
Isla: Those two are in the boys alliance!
The three of them listen to their conversation.
Tyler: There’s only two girls left, so we need to look carefully and listen for them.
Elijah: Y-yeah... but what’s your idea?
Tyler: We’ll be able to find them if we spread our ground. I’ll go look in the area behind me, you look in the area behind YOU.
Tyler points at the area of trees Isla, Fern and Chris are currently in.
Elijah: W-what if I find one of them?
Tyler: Well try to kill her, obviously!
Elijah: Well yeah, but... they’re both pretty tough ladies! I don’t know if I can take them by myself.
Tyler: Then call out for me or something! I’m gonna look, you do the same!
Elijah: Wait! But...
Before Elijah can finish, Tyler walks off.
Elijah then walks closer to the girls and Chris, looking nervous.
Chris: What do we do?
Isla: I think I have a plan. Just follow my lead.
Isla then takes her axe and begins cutting the tree. Chris and Fern do the same.

Elijah hears the strange sound of someone carving something. He feels like running away... but he decides to walk forward anyway.
He walks toward the noise, scared for his life.
...
Suddenly, Fern jumps out and grabs him. Before he can scream out for help, his mouth is shut.
-It’s A Trap-
Tyler is looking for the last 2 living girls in the arena, hoping to find them and give them a taste of his medicine.
Suddenly, he hears a scream in the distance. It sounds like a girl’s scream.
Tyler immediately runs over to the noise and investigates.
He suspects that Elijah has found and killed one of the girls... but then is proven wrong when he sees Elijah on the ground squirming in front of a tree.
Tyler immediately runs over to Elijah and sees that he has been tied up, and that something has been put in his mouth to prevent him from speaking.
Tyler takes out Elijah’s mouthpiece.
Elijah: It’s a trap!
Tyler: Wha...?
Suddenly, Tyler hears a battle cry coming from behind him.
He turns around to see Isla seining an axe at him.
...

...
...
The axe swings right by his head to the left.
Tyler: Ha! You missed, dumbass!
Isla is smiling.
Isla: You know that overused gag in movies where a character seemingly throws or shoots something at another character, and the other character thinks they missed, but then it turns out they were aiming at something else the whole time?
Tyler: Yeah, but I don’t see how that applies to—
Suddenly, the tree in front of him and Elijah falls on them, killing them both instantly.
BOOM!
BOOM!
Isla takes her axe out of the tree, the thing she was aiming at the whole time.
Chris then comes out of hiding.
Chris: You know... we could’ve just killed them using the AXES...
Isla: Yeah... but this was how I killed someone in a video game, and it was way more creative than a simple axe swing... admit it, it was awesome!
Chris smiles a little.
Chris: Okay, yeah! That was pretty cool.
Chris and Isla smile and laugh with each other.
Little do they know that Bruce has been watching his friends get killed, and is sneaking up behind them...
Suddenly, he makes his presence known, and he charges at them.
Bruce: FREEDOM!!!!!
Isla and Chris suddenly turn around to see Bruce running toward them with a sword.

Suddenly, Fern steps out of her hiding place and throws her axe at him.
It hits him right in his face, and he drops dead within seconds.
BOOM!
Fern: So... you said there were 6? Now there’s only 3. It’s 3 against 3 now.
Isla: 3 against 3?
Chris: Does that mean... you’ll help us?
Fern: I mean... it seems like the best option right now, right?
Isla smiles.
Isla: Good! Everyone, get some rest! Tomorrow, we all hunt down the rest of the boys alliance!
Chris: And we slaughter them like the pigs they are!
Fern: That’ll be easy... I have experience with slaughtering pigs.

Well... that episode was a little more comedic than you would expect from my series, wasn’t it?
Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time for things to get serious and tragic.
The finale begins tomorrow, and 5 of our 6 tributes will be killed, leaving only one alive! Who will it be?
