musical is a classic, but it annoys me how far it deviates from the true Land of Oz. Oz is dark, there's no ruby slippers (they're silver shoes and ruby was introduced to take advantage of Color television). The movie Return to Oz is a classic and closer to the books. I wish they would make more movies true to the story and show classic characters like Jack Pumpkinhead, Wogglebug, Patchwork Girl, Saw Horse.
