I work at a group home for adults with mental disabilities. So naturally one would assume that the staff are educated and up to date about mental health issues. WRONG. The entire staff is transphobic as fuck. They constantly misgender the trans guy who lives there and refer to him as she and deadname him constantly. I’m so fucking anxious every time I go to work because none of them seem to think this is a problem. And again, this is a GROUP HOME for adults with MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.
