iPod Touch Question

I have a 4th generation iTouch with the 2 cameras and everything, but I was wondering how you zoomed in while taking a photo/video...cuz there's probably a way, but I can't seem to figure it out...

I tried tapping on the screen, it just does a box thing that disappears after...

i dont think you can use zoom for the camera on the front of the ipod

mines only zoomed on the outside camera and you just tap the screen and a bar comes up along the bottom!
