Both tribes are awoken by someone blowing a conch shell. Both tribes arrive on the beach, as they are told that they are now merged. They are all given blue buffs, and decide on the name Dominica. After they arrived to their new camp, Jim quickly notices Frederick's alliance, the other major alliance, and asks if both of their alliances can work together. He reluctantly agrees, so Jim, Jordan, Haley, Barack, Anneliese, Frederick, and Alysha are now all working together. This leaves the other five to work together. While looking for food, Alysha stumbles across a hidden immunity idol, and decides to tell her alliance about it. When news goes around camp, Gordon, Homestar, Paula, Russell, and Flower now plan to get Alysha out. So Gordon uses his "magical" persuasion to get Barack to flip sides and vote with them. He's skeptical of the idea, and thinks about it. At the first individual immunity challenge, it was a neck-and-neck-and-neck race between Jim, Frederick, and Russell, but Jim pulled out and won immunity. Back at camp, Barack officially agrees to vote with the minority alliance and vote out Alysha. In Jim's and Frederick's alliance, they limited their options to Flower and Russell. After Russell accidentally spilled the beans about his alliance's voting strategy, the other alliance now agrees to vote out Russell. At tribal council, Frederick, Jim, Alysha, Anneliese, Jordan, and Haley all vote for Russell, while the other alliance including Barack vote for Alysha. However, because Russell said that his alliance is voting for Alysha, she played her idol, and all of her votes were null and void. This caused Russell to be voted out by a 6-0 vote and became the first member of the jury. A divide in alliances can clearly be seen.
