Best overall seeds per conference get bye, and best second seed gets bye.
Conference with 2 teams with a bye, 3rd seed will play the NFL's worst Conference's 4 seed instead of playing a 3 seed.
After the "Round of 12" round, there will be the "Round of 8" and it is designed so that if a 4 seed wins, they will play the best seed of their respective conference. The first matchup of the two teams + the team in it's part of the bracket with the bye is known as a "Trio". The best trio winner will face the worst Trio winner in the "Conference Bowls". These are known as the "Black" and "White" Conference Bowls. The winners of these bowls go on to the Super Bowl.
