When you think of controversial Suitman players, there has never really been anyone who has stood out as much as Charlie. He’s kind of person you love to hate, which makes him perfect for a messy season of already large characters.
He first appeared in Jan Mayen, which is iconically remembered for the rivalry between Charlie and eventual winner Ben, accumulating in them making it to the Final 2 together in a weird twist. Despite losing he’s remembered for controlling his side and making harsh decisions to secure his place in the final.
The sentiment was repeated in Eritrea, where he made it to finals for a second time, this time versus Patrick and Shadi, where he took 2nd place again. in this game he was slightly more low-key but still made an impact, once again pissing off enough jurors to ensure he didn’t take it home.
Hoping to re-write his game in Last Leap, he jumped back on, and became involved in some of the messiest votes in Suitman history. This time however the numbers weren’t on his side and he was the merge boot in 12th place.
For his fourth season in Polynesia, Charlie wanted one last attempt to change his record. But my unfortunate absence as host for the season saw him controversially leave voluntarily just a few days in, unhappy to continue. This was definitely not the way Charlie wanted to end his Suitman career.
Charlie is an ENTITLED castaway due to emended impact he has made as a controversial character, losing two jury votes and leaving one season by choice. His track record has however proved he can play the game, so we will have to see if he can make the reputation he wants for himself this time.
