Not play your idol because you want to keep it as a souvenir, to then get voted out at the F5 and have the producers take your idol from you cause they're selling it on ebay
or
Play your idol, win the game, and have enough money to buy your souvenir back on ebay!
i read somewhere they took john rocker's idol so idk maybe they dont let you keep it but it might be different since he was voted off and it was premerge
I find it incredibly irritating that rob didnt use his idol in RI like thats so cocky and stupid. Use it, always. Don't risk $1 mil on that. Imagine Rob getting out because he didnt use it ugh I would have ATE IT UP
I would ensure to add in the contract that, "The idol is my property unless I use it. If I keep it, I am permitted to take it home, display it on my mantelpiece and not let the children touch it."
Then do no.1 :) Timster
splozojames50 yeah i'm sure they take everyone's idols. (well I know they didn't take Kim's) but usually all the idols are for sell on the ebay thingy they do after the season.
aquamarine I did that in a Survivor group game. I won :'). #WorthTheRisk plus it helped my speech when I told them all that I had an idol and I was so confident that I wasn't going home at the F5 that I didn't have to use it.
aquamarine Actually playing your idol (knowing you're not going home) might be a huge risk. Imagine if Philip won final immunity (lol). I bet Natalie and Philip would feel betrayed that Rob didn't tell them about their idol and then they vote him off 3-1. Though idr if he told them about his idol beforehand.
I could see it happening if Natalie played her idol and never told Missy/Baylor about it. They'd think she has more tricks up her sleeve, realize she's a threat, and give her 4th.
aquamarine he did use his idol at the last tribal he could. he stood up and gave some speech about how is mother told him it is better to be safe than sorry
