the elimination of jeff Varner was a massive shock after the charismatic player had shown a fun and positive vibe in Australia to contribute to the positive energy in their tribe. Tracey and Coby were not completely happy with what had happened and were beginning to regret their decision. At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to race up a tall tower unlocking puzzle pieces, once the 5 bags were collected, the tribes had to use the puzzle pieces to spell the phrase "You survive one more day". While finishing the first stage of the immunity challenge in first place, the Earth tribe suffered greatly on the puzzle section of the challenge. Ensuring them a date with me at tribal council. Back at camp James was highly criticised by Tina for his bossy and un-sportsman like behaviour when the tribe was trying hard. Tine perceived James as the most obvious target and spoke to her ally Greg. Greg however understood Janes frustration but new it was in his best intrest to keep both Jane and James around as his clossest allies and remove Savage from the game. At tribal council, reluctantly Savage was voted out by a vote of 3-1

The day after tribal council, the teams received tree mail to notify them that they had to collect their rewards and personal items and meet at the designated point on the map. Unsure of why a merge would be occurring so early, the tribes hesitantly prepared for what was in store. Whilst standing on the mats, the 3 tribes got their first look at the new earth tribe with savage being the 5th person voted out of Survivor: War of the Elements. It was then that they found out that the game would be shaken up, with a TRIBE SWAP. The Four tribes would become 3 in a twist. Learning that a new idol had been placed in the game. Sending a new level of hope within the game. The new fire tribe composed of 3 former Fire members in Brendan, Ashley and Natalie, Taj from Water and Greg from Earth. Taj and Brendan both played from Tocantins. On the new Earth tribe, Heidi from air, Aaron from water, Ciera and shane from fire and Tina from earth. Ciera and Tina have played in Blood vs water together. Finally on the new Air tribe, coby, todd and tracey are all from the former Air tribe with James coming from earth and Matty coming from water. James and Todd played in China together and James and Tracey both played in Micronesia.
