SexGoddx's idea HAS been suggested before, especially with the case of #Lindblad being forced to be Lindb due to the Lindblad company wanting to sue Rando because the Tengaged page beat their company on Google AND Lindb apparently gave them a bad name? XD
So it is logically possible for a username to be changed with no technical repercussions.
1) I'm now a TV star with a million T$. I have decided that I no longer want to be Yoshitomi, but instead I want to be @YoSheToeMeOhNo.
www.tengaged.com/user/yoshitomi & www.tengaged.com/blog/yoshitomi will cease to exist!
Hence, since the user is not banned, but instead non-existent, then someone could make a new account and call it Yoshitomi.
Rando would have to program in a way for links which lead to the original name to now lead to the new name, but not be recreated.
But there may have been another reason for Rando removing that glitch, since it wasn't exactly harmful at the time (I mean, the trend happened before excessive porn blogs was a thing). And with the excess of porn blogs, people could be lead into all kinds of trouble.
3) Since there is no search function on Tengaged, the "formally known as ____" feature is actually completely pointless.
Until Tengaged HAS a search function, THEN that would be amazing and I would love this idea.
But if I left for a year (which I almost did, and many other users actually have done), I would lose track of people I used to know.
Me being back blog: Hey, I'm back! But where has my BFF Anas gone?
Mail from a TV star called @ZainNiallHarryLiamLouisLover: Hey Henna, it's me Anas!
Me replying: NO! You are an IMPOSTER! YOU ATE MY FRIEND! :''''''(
How would they be able to prove it? You can't trust anyone on the internet, right?
---------------------------------------
While I'm here, Tengaged seriously needs a search function. I'd love to be able to search usernames from past games, but games are blocked from Google search!
---------------------------------------
4) If you spend 2000T$ on a bannable name, what would happen exactly?
Name get changed back and no money back?
Or a perm ban?
You can't come up with an idea and NOT consider people trying to f*ck with it. XD
5) If you've reached TV Star, people WILL recognise you for your username.
The best way to solve this is instead of a permanent change, being able to have a Nickname.
eg. When you sign up, you have your username: Yoshitomi
And name you would like to appear as: YoSheToeMeOhNo
The name you would like to appear as would be your profile name.
BUT every link would be Yoshitomi.
So @YoSheToeMeOhNo and Yoshitomi would lead to the same place.
So you could change your "appear as" whenever you like*.
*Actually, limited to a monthly basis? And the change would appear after half an hour to determine if someone else has taken it or not.
So if someone pretended to be someone else, you click on their profile and see who they really are.
--------------------------------------------
I would love to appear as Henna or Yoshi tbh. But I know both those names are taken/banned. So I think it would be good if the "appear as" names could be those of banned users, and if someone is banned, you can take their "appear as" name.

Please do read this and criticise.
Spaced it out a bit so it's not so scary to read, Etienne and Dmann. XD

is this blog serious? did you really just blog all of this text? oh HELL no
Very well thought out. Many people don't consider these issues and I think it would be mayhem. I think Yoville is a good example of how this doesn't work. :)
Mail from a TV star called @ZainNiallHarryLiamLouisLover: Hey Henna, it's me Anas!
Yoshitomi: ROFL! Henna x) really? Is this the best user you thought for me? Lmao though i highly doubt ill ever be dedicated enough for TV star, but you make a valid point :)
