X Factor Songs This Week

Nov 29, 2015 by Yoshitomi
You know what? I'm gonna join the train and rank the 10 songs this week on #XFactor. I watched last night on my own (dad is in Hungary, mum slept through) and I was really into it.
So here's my ranking, starting from my least favourite to my favourite. :)

10th) Louisa Johnson: Jealous - Labrinth
You know what is terrible? Trying to take Josh Daniel's rendition of Jealous away from him. He sang it for his friend and it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. 29 million hits, so well deserved. I was so disappointed with Rita choosing the song. Louisa is great but in comparison to Josh's performance, no. I turned the TV off, I was so mad. XD
Mind you I do like Louisa's voice and she has done some incredible performances, but this was bad.

9th) Che Chesterman: Hello - Adele
You know what else is terrible? Forgetting the words to one of the biggest songs this year! How? HOW? I know he was under a lot of pressure and he was heartbroken after being the only finalist who's been in the bottom 2. But you have to shake it off. What Cheryl said was right, it's not personal. That final 6, this final 5 is so strong, I would be happy with any of them winning. Mind you, I was trying to see if Che was trying to do his own spin (badly) but then I saw Nick Grimshaw's panic on his face and knew Che messed up. XD

8th) Louisa Johnson: Love Yourself - Justin Bieber
This song and Lauren's Jukebox songs were both songs I didn鈥檛 know. Louisa really wasn't at her best this week. I got bored with this song, it could be Bieber's fault for that. I wrote a long comment on Timster's blog saying how Louisa is better than Lauren, but damn! Not this week!

7th) 4th Impact: I'll Be There - Jackson 5
I do like 4th Impact but they haven't been strong on the live shows. This was definitely a come back and it was good. However, you have to be amazing to take on that Jackson 5 song. In comparison, it wasn't so good.

6th) Lauren Murray: Firestone - Kygo ft Conrad Sewell.
Hey, Che? Lauren had 2 songs she didn't know and sang them both without forgetting the words. :P
I didn鈥檛 know this song but it was okay. It was a good Lauren performance and the song suited her but...It was okay. It wasn't bad, just not my favourite of the night. :)

Okay, now here is where I really enjoyed the show!

5th) Reggie n Bollie: Dynamite - Taio Cruz
I love these guys! I was jamming to this. :) They're 5th because the start wasn't great but when they added their own spin...wow! They got me, I was singing along. XD

4th) 4th Impact: Fancy - Iggy Azalea/Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani
This was pretty awesome. :D This was absolutely their best performance and (hopefully if they stay) the start to strong, amazing performances. I wish it wasn't tailored for Simon cos he's not the guy you're trying to win votes from, we are. I'm worried they'll get in the bottom 2 then crash like Che. Speaking of...

3rd) Che Chesterman: Try A Little Tenderness - Otis Redding
I wanted him to shake it off, he shook it all off! When I heard he was doing this, after hearing the Hello performance, I was really unsure. I love this song. And hearing Che moan about the song for the whole clip sucked. But you know what? He did an amazing job.

2nd) Reggie n Bollie - Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) - Silent贸
I am not a fan of this song, but Reggie n Bollie...oh my! I was fully into this! The family on stage, Cheryl on stage! I was on board, they've sold me and I want them to win. Their singing is great and they have the X Factor. They're charming and, I think, the nicest people in the competition. I really really want them to win.

1st) Lauren Murray: You Don't Own Me - Grace ft. G-Eazy
...Wow. I didn't know she had this in her. To me, Lauren has not been a stand out contender and she's never been the best of the week. But this performance blew me away! That was incredible and I'm probably gonna buy this single on iTunes. Amazing.

I didn't think I'd be into this series of X Factor. I still don't like Nick as a judge but when he ran up to hug Che, that kinda made me like him. Just a bit.
And I totally know the names of the 4th Impact girls! There's Selina, Irene, Mylene and...and.....ooops. :X
