Blood vs. Water: Loved ones will be separated on opposite tribes and will compete against each other.
Redemption Island: When a player is voted out, they are sent to Redemption Island, where they will compete in head-to-head duels for the chance to get back into the game.
Day 1 Temptation: A loved one can put themselves on Redemption Island, and guarantee their loved ones' safety up until the merge.
Double Tribal Council: Both tribes will go to tribal council.
Tribe Swap: At one point during the game, the tribe alignment will be adjusted.
The twenty castaways arrived in the middle of the Philippines on the island of Palawan with their loved ones in the Redemption Island arena. JB announced the twist of Blood vs. Water and divided the pairs into two tribes. Here are the tribes:
JB then announced the first test of Blood vs. Water, and gave everyone an offer. He offered everyone to give their loved one immunity in exchange for a spot in the first redemption island duel. The pairs thought hard, except for James & Su, when James accepted the offer immediately, saying he wanted to make sure his grandmother stayed in the game as long as possible. Not as hesitant was Matt, saving his wife Kristina until the merge. James & Matt fought in the first battle on Redemption Island, and Matt came out on top, sending James home, leaving his grandmother Su to fight in the game alone. Back at camp, Su was upset, but her Batak tribemates rallied around her and created a very sturdy shelter. At Tagbanwa, Alicia, Anna, and Bambi formed a quick alliance. At the immunity challenge, Batak's teamwork put them over the top and they won immunity. Back at camp, the girls were looking for a guy to target, and they picked David. They tried to rally the other girls, Ruby & Kristina, but they had other plans. Kristina & Ruby leaked the info to the guys and the Tagbanwa tribe sent Bambi to Redemption Island.

Episode 2: Screw Your Head Back On
Coming back from camp, Alicia & Anna played it cool. And the next day, they both pretended like nothing happened and they prepared to go on with their business, puzzling the rest of the tribe. At Redemption Island, Matt won his second straight duel as he defeated the challenger Bambi. Back at Batak, Zach was angry and vowed to destroy the other tribe. However, Tagbanwa destroyed Batak, and claimed immunity. Back at camp, Batak was awaiting their first vote, and they decided to keep tribe strength and unity together as they voted out their biggest outcast and weakest link, Raign, in a unanimous vote.

Episode 3: We're Blood Out Here
Back at camp, Batak had a nice campfire going and they sang songs all night, strengthening their tribe bond. Shana began to see Su as a mother figure, and the two became extremely close. At Redemption Island, Matt easily defeated Raign to get his third straight victory in the arena. At Tagbanwa, Alicia and Anna were working their way back into the fold, as they continued to strengthen bonds. At the immunity challenge, Tagbanwa came away with their second straight win, sending a sad Batak tribe to tribal council. Back at camp, Batak struggled to come up with a name to vote out. John mentioned Shana, and word got to Su, who decided to turn the tables on John. In the end, the tribe sided with Su, and John was blindsided.

Episode 4: Untouchable Matriarch
Back at camp, the tribe was pleased with their decision to vote out John. At Redemption Island, John could barely look his tribe in the eye after he felt betrayed. However, he used his determination to dethrone Matt and send him home. After the duel, JB announced that John would be getting some company tonight, as two more people would be voted out. At Batak, Ursula and Shana were being targetted for being the weakest links, and in the end, Su convinced the tribe again to keep Shana and send Ursula to Redemption Island. At Tagbanwa, Alicia & Anna looked to be on the outs, but they were able to convince the tribe that Ruby was a weaker link, and they sent her to Redemption Island.

Episode 5: No More Mr. Nice Guy
Back at Tagbanwa, Alicia & Anna celebrated being a part of the in-crowd in the tribe, and eyed to make a big move in the future, taking out their strongest player, JW. At Redemption Island, John won his second straight duel, sending Ruby & Ursula home. At Batak, a discussion struck over when the loved ones would be reunited, and how it would change the game. Shana was looking to reunite with her father and Su wasn't sure if she wanted to stay aligned with her. At the immunity challenge, Batak took home immunity, sending Tagbanwa to tribal council. At Tagbanwa, Anna seemed like the clear target amongst the majority, but Alicia & Anna were looking to make the biggest move of the game thus far and take out a physical threat in JW. Anna & Alicia spoke to every member of the tribe desperately attempting them to shift over. At tribal council, the two sides got into a heated argument, with JW calling the girls names. JW's actions spoke loud, and prompted David & Peter to switch their votes and vote him out.

Episode 6: Family Fun Time Is Over
Back at camp, Alicia & Anna were grateful and glad to see JW's torch get snuffed and David & Peter said that his true colors showed. At Redemption Island the next day, the argument continued and JB had to intervene. JW translated his anger into a much-needed victory to oust John from Redemption Island. After the duel, JB surprised everyone with a tribe swap, putting the loved ones on the same tribe. Here are the new tribes:
NuBatak: Anna & Connor, Peter & Shana, Alicia, Su
NuTagbanwa: Ben & David, Aarlyn, Kristina, Seth, Zach
JB also announced that both tribes would go to tribal council. At Batak, Peter wanted to form a couples' alliance with Anna & Connor, which they accepted. However, for Anna, it meant having to vote out her best ally, Alicia. Anna tried to get Connor to force a tie, but it didn't work out, and Alicia was voted out. At Tagbanwa, Ben & David were worried that they would be targetted for being a duo, but Aarlyn, Ben, and Zach decided to stick together, and David decided to jump ship after maddening Kristina & Seth for voting against them at tribal council. The new alliance of four set their sights on Seth and voted him out. At Redemption Island the next day, JW won his second duel, sending Alicia & Seth packing. The new alliances of 4 did not want to go to tribal because they would have to vote out one of their own with Kristina & Su being the holders of immunity. Tagbanwa won and got to keep their foursome together. Back at Batak, both sides were vying for Su's vote. Su was worried about Shana's loyalty, but in the end, she trusted her and she sided with her & Peter to vote out Connor.

Episode 7: Whole New Ballgame
With Connor voted out, Anna felt alone, but Peter, Shana, and Su promised they would look after her and agreed to stick together. At Redemption Island, JW defeated Connor in the final duel before the merge. So, JW joined his girlfriend Aarlyn and the rest of the castaways to merge. JW was given immunity for the first tribal council for coming back from Redemption Island. At Cuyunon, the tribe was given a feast, ten red buffs and a new start to the game. Kristina went over to Su and wanted to work with her. JW and Aarlyn & Ben and David wanted to make a couples' alliance with Peter & Shana, but Peter & Shana were hesitant to join. At the immunity challenge, Kristina earned herself three more days on the island. Back at camp, the new couples alliance was made known and everyone who didn't have a partner banded together. However, Peter & Shana were not on board 100%. Peter wanted to go through with the deal, but Shana was still worried. Peter told Shana that he would agree to whatever she decided, so the vote was completely in Shana's hands. In the end, Shana decided to stick with her long-time ally Su and go to their side to send Aarlyn to Redemption Island.

Episode 8: All Hell Will Break Loose
After Aarlyn was voted out, her boyfriend JW was pissed, and he knew that he was in trouble. At the reward challenge, David, Ben, and Anna won a breakfast buffet reward. At the reward, David & Ben tried to get Anna on their side as they were beginning to see the alliance of Su, Peter, Shana, and Zach blossom. However, Anna would not budge. Back at camp, Peter, Shana, Su, and Zach solidified their alliance and promised each other final 4. At the immunity challenge, David earned himself three more days in the game. Back at camp, Ben & JW were worried that they would be the ones going home. So, in a last ditch effort, they tried to bring Anna on board. However, Anna sided with the foursome, which led to a unanimous vote against JW, sending him to Redemption Island again to face his girlfriend.

Episode 9: Are You Even Normal?
Back at camp, Ben & David knew that they would be the next targets as they felt their chances to change the game in their favor were non-existent. At Redemption Island the next day, the stage was set for the first loved one battle between Aarlyn and JW. JW was looking to possibly throw the challenge to Aarlyn, but Aarlyn insisted he didn't. JW went on to defeat his girlfriend and win the challenge. Back at camp, Ben & David again tried to talk to Anna and Kristina about flipping. Kristina was on board, but Anna did not seem so much on board. At the immunity challenge, Zach won immunity. Anna was believed to be in an alliance of 5 with Shana, Peter, Su, and Zach, which led her to believe she was in the majority to vote out David.

Episode 10: Double Down
Back at camp, Ben was struggling to come to terms with his cousin having his torch snuffed. Ben was determined to win every immunity until the end of the season in order to win the game. At Redemption Island, David battled JW in the most intense duel of the season. David eventually defeated the pre-merge champion JW, sending him to join his girlfriend Aarlyn in the jury house. Ben was ecstatic to find out that his cousin David was still in the game. His cousin's win motivated and led him to a victory in the immunity challenge. However, JB announced that he still needed to pack his bags as everyone would be eligible to be voted out. Back at camp, the alliance of Peter, Shana, Su, and Zach had to decide who to vote out between Anna and Kristina. In the end, they saw Kristina as more loyal and less of a threat than Anna, and they sent her to Redemption Island. After Anna was voted out, the final six participated in an immunity challenge. Shana won, and Ben followed Anna to Redemption Island.

Episode 11: It's Time To Get Real
Back at camp, Kristina was surrounded by one of the tightest alliances in JB Survivor history, and was beginning to regret the decisions she had made prior to get to the point she was at. At Redemption Island, David defeated his cousin Ben and his ally Anna to stay on Redemption Island. Back at camp, Kristina talked to Ben & Su about potentially going to the final 3 as she told them that Peter & Shana would take each other to the end. They both seemed interested, but they were still unsure. Things became more complicated when Kristina won immunity. Back at camp, Kristina proposed to vote out Peter, which Zach was on board with. Peter & Shana planned to vote Zach out, which put Su in a predicament. Su had to choose between her two greatest allies. In the end, she chose to side with Peter & Shana to vote out Zach, sending him to Redemption Island in shock.

Episode 12: I'm Back!
Back at camp, Su was distraught after voting out Zach, and threatened to quit the game, as she felt the game was bigger than her. At Redemption Island, Su bawled her eyes out to Zach, but Zach forgave her, confident that he was going to beat David and return to the game. However, David won his third straight duel and returned to the game. He used his momentum to win the next immunity challenge. Back at camp, David & Kristina looked to flip Su's vote over. But, Su again sided with Shana and voted out Kristina, sending her to the jury.

Episode 13: Finale
Back at camp, David knew that he needed to win the last two immunities in order to have just a chance to win the game. At the reward challenge, David won an advantage for the immunity challenge. This scared Peter, Shana, and Su. David's advantage gave him an extra bag of puzzle pieces, which cut his time significantly for the challenge. However, Shana's agility and wits led her to defeat David and win immunity. This sealed David's fate as he was voted out again. The next day, the final three battled for immunity, and Peter won immunity for the first time, earning himself a spot in the final two. He brought his daughter along, sending Su to the jury, making Peter and Shana, father and daughter, the final two. On Day 40, the two celebrated a special day together paying a rite of passage to the nine fallen duos of Blood vs. Water. JB also gave them one final challenge, where the winner would get a vote for them at final tribal council. It was a hike to tribal council, and the first to get to tribal council would get the vote. The two completed the hike together, and Peter allowed Shana to walk into tribal first to get the extra vote. At tribal council, Peter let Shana have the win, and she became the sole survivor in a unanimous vote.
