Yes, "oldest stays" is a bit unfair. However, it's also a set rule that you can account for and strategize around. I would rather see a set rule than something more random. In this case - you failed to get enough votes to save yourself, so you were evicted. If the rule were the opposite - it would be the same deal for the other person.
That said, if it was truly that your score just decided not to save - well, that's an issue that really DOES need some attention. A system issue should never cause you to be evicted.
That's one of the advantages of being on this web site. Seniority is a precious thing that should be rewarded.
It's a set rule that even the older players (that benefit from it now) had to face when they were just starting out.
I've been on both sides of that rule, but that's just something one needs to strategize for. If you're going to tie it, at least tie it with someone who is newer than you.
